First impressions: Radicale is significantly faster and so far hasn’t run into any obvious syncing issues between devices (which, unfortunately, was common for me using Nextcloud’s Contacts app).

I’ve been frustrated with Nextcloud’s contacts syncing for so long. I’m finally trying Radicale. We’ll see how it goes…

But like Ring cameras, I hate that the only way to see video is by connecting to the company’s servers. I wonder if I can make this more private by setting up Home Assistant with RTSP support and then blocking all output connections from Eufy devices.

Finally finished setting up all my self-hosted services exactly the way I want them. Clean configs, all streamlined and similarly structured, and nothing half-done. Took longer than planned, but it’s done and stable.
