That's so funny. Unless it's a specific reunion, nothing we say is particularly important. I can think of when my grandfather reunited with his brother whom he hadn't seen in 20+ years, but other than that...
I mean, I get the idea behind it, but also, please no.

I think there are two types of guys of a certain age on the internet right now: the manosphere and the One Piece fanatics. Let's just get everyone over to One Piece.
They're conspiracy theory/need to make a murder board/look for insignificant clues they can blow up into whatever they want will be fulfilled, and maybe they'll rediscover the power of family and friendship and what freedom actually is.
OK, so new idea: anyone who is wrapped up in any conspiracy theory or theories about the government, on either side, just sit them down to start watching and reading One Piece. And then let their social media algorithms unleash the NEVER ENDING and BONKERS theories and boom, they're safe.
This whole movie is pure perfection. Saw it in the theaters on opening night. There were only a few other people in the theater, and we had a BLAST.
Hearing that Richard Gere scene from Pretty Woman in my head where he says wistfully "We don't build anything...we don't make anything"
Could you imagine a Black guy who has track marks on his arms from heroin abuse and admitted to snorting cocaine off of public toilet seats in public being confirmed to be the Health Secretary?
Me neither. Yet here RFK Jr is, making government policy that involves racial eugenics nonsense.
This story is crazy! The Jim Dolan had a Knicks fan obsessively monitored at games just because she was trans.
This is more broadly generalizable: If you don't do the research yourself, you have no idea if AI is making stuff up. And if you do the research yourself, then AI isn't saving you much labor, if any.
Updates to VeraCrypt, a popular and long-running piece of encryption, are now thrown into doubt because of a seemingly unexplained Microsoft decision.

Sometimes I have Questions about a Discourse and then I remember I can Mind My Own Business. I should be an influencer, or an evangelist proclaiming the virtues of Mind Your Own Business, Nobody's Talking to You.
It was nothing but Linux back when I was student there already. This one shouldn't be much of a haul.
Black-and-white photo of a Tacoma News Tribune exhibit at the Western Washington Fair, 1964. A large overhead sign reads “Tacoma News Tribune,” with an “Information” counter beneath it. At left, two men—one in glasses and a cardigan, the other in a hat and overcoat—stand beside an Associated Press machine displaying photos and news pages. At right, three women and a young boy gather at the counter, speaking with a staff member. A rack of newspapers and display boards with photos and diagrams are visible in the background. @yale.edu released a report on why the public (allegedly) doesn't trust higher education. The @nytimes.com covered it uncritically. So... I'm "pleased" to unveil my next debunking: an interactive annotated doc that points out factual, logical, and rhetorical errors. Enjoy! #AcademicSky
Much of what we call inclusion practices come from early IBM models. This isn’t just a company reversal. I think it’s just another sign of how much illiberalism has taken hold.

IBM, specifically, represents arc of corporate diversity post CRM. IBM was once a case study for “racially progressive” capitalism. Their march from Black Company Man to diversity apologia asks a Q: what is diversity in a post liberal state?

They don’t need to work effectively. They just need to have the drone program running long enough to pivot to surveillance.
I know it's not the most important thing here but Quentin Tarantino didn't even write the fake Bible verse. He stole it from an old Sonny Chiba movie. And something about that last extra layer of bullshit really adds something to this whole thing, to me
It worked perfectly because I was also reviewing the new book A Practical Guide to Teaching Neurodivergent College Students so there was some tie-in.
It did make it INCREDIBLY easy to write my column for the upcoming issue of NTLF.
Exactly.
Like, it's been over a decade for both of us.
And we're not that new or that young. Which...
