It helps to watch the seasons of On Cinema leading up to each special, but I don't think it's necessary as long as you know going in that the Oscer Specials are part of a larger continuity. But 5 6 and 7 do all follow each other naturally and have a narrative arc

Id suggest the Trial of Tim Heidecker if you haven't watched that yet, that's probably the peak of the On Cinema-verse.
After that, I think the 5th, 6th, and 7th specials are a generational run, especially if you like seeing bad things happen to Mark Proksh.
