Better things happen when we connect the dots.

Feeling tired and exhilarated after another brilliant #UKCharityCamp

Here's the one photo we managed to get of the Poteris Team today - we were too busy having great conversations and sharing ideas to take more 🫣

Procurement - Microsoft and other big beasts Often the issue can be that people are blinded by the history and legacy of the tool, it's the thing we've always used. There's often myths connected to the security of the larger offers, but consid...

I have been trying to pretend that the influx of flags flying in my local area is in support of the people of Gaza (St George also being the patron saint of Palestine), but alas, I can't ignore the catalyst being based in racism and a hatred (that I will never understand) of people seeking refuge.

A key thing worth knowing about the AI super intelligence claims is that scientists who study cognition are clear we don’t even have a model of human intelligence, so how can you look at an AI and say it’s the same or better? We confuse lots of metaphors for cognition with knowing how it happens.

No NAGS - Stop the Solar Farm The Ridley Society was formed to protect our communities from intrusive infrastructure projects, such as the New Ash Green Solar Farm

Here is their "stop the farm" campaign page www.no-nags.co.uk

And yet I'm deemed to be the crazy one locally as everyone else (including my Green Party Councillors) fight against a proposed farm on fields that are barely good enough for cows to graze 🫣

When your MO is to be helpful and useful, but you also run an agency...how do you make sure you come across as wanting to help and be supportive, rather than wanting to book billable time?

Why hasn't Microsoft added an auto number system for images in a thesis? Helping my partner to work his way through at 2 am with a toddler to look after tomorrow is just a bit much.

Also, why is the table of contents so crappy looking?

Recently I've had the privilege to start working with an organisation that is truly aiming to be equitable in it's employment strategies and the way it delivers for the sector. I need to start talking more about what it is we do, and our ambitions. Where's the best place to share these days?

Trans and non-binary rights do not diminish or negate women's rights. Attacking trans and non-binary individuals does. It creates an atmosphere, as currently seen, where if you don't fit into a neat little box you can be discriminated against.

When the government talk about 'more people getting support to move into work', they often mean requiring people to meet with work coaches.

But a focus on ticking boxes means work coaches often aren't providing meaningful support to help people move into/progress in work. Great report

This year, I have attempted to self refer into a lot of post natal support, but after having to deal with awful bots instead of a quick and sinple form I've struggled instead of using the service.

Can we please make bots better or just stop using them?

😅 the playlist was a gateway of sorts for me to move from electronica, dub jungle, to a calmer part of my musical life (also includes lots of saxophone which is my heaven).

This month, I shifted from a "have boob, will travel mamma" to a "have to pack everything under the sun, cause weaning and now on bottle 🙈."

How do people do this? Especially when mamma has ADHD and is currently not medicated?

I also thought I disliked jazz, until I discovered the "Jazztronica" playlist on spotify, opened a whole new world 🌎
