What's happening to healthcare in Alberta is potentially coming for all of us in Canada. Insurance companies will want this everywhere, and there doesn't seem to be much protecting Canada and its citizens at a federal level, @mark-carney.bsky.social. It's legitimately upending. #CdnPoli #CanPoli

Banning algorithmic pricing ought to be a no-brainer call for any government: people don’t like to be ripped off, surveilled, or treated differently from their peers.

Algorithm pricing does all three of those things.

Andrew, 20 yrs ago, BC had fully funded librarians in every school, full time music teachers, counsellor, school nurses. Heck, some districts even had their own canoes and sailing programs for kids going to public school.

You have no idea how little BC schools are forced to do with now.

Would love to see this data for Quebec and I imagine it's also growing, given how popular private schools are.

The privatization of public education in BC has been underway for years. Take a look at this new analysis:

In six of the last 10 years (2017-18 to 2026-27), the rate of growth in public spending on private schools increased faster than spending on public schools in raw terms
