I wrapped up my set planning last night for my first DJ set, I think it's gonna be a banger! Planning to practice it every night this week, then cut a demo on Sat and do my first live set Sunday in VRC! Excited and nervous at the same time, woot!

Also there seem to be a number of "pro furry VAs" who get asked to VA a lot of things, and they're not nearly as "pro" as they think they are. Now if they were asking someone like Trendane to VA... haaaawwwwwt. ;D
I'm pretty sure I know which video you mean, but it does seem to be a... precedent in furry porn videos. I get the animators probably ask their friends to VA their videos, but... maybe get some better ones instead? I have to mute the volume to enjoy the video 90% of the time.

So it's quickly becoming clear that I will need some graphics for my DJ stuff. Icons, banners, video filler for livestreams - anyone do that kind of stuff or know a friend who does?

Seems kinda weird that the tracks DJs are playing would be gatekept like that, honestly. As long as people are having a good time and grooving to the tunes, I'm not sure why that would be an issue. I would think a furry con would want a mix/balance of set styles as long as the NRG is good.
Would any of my VRC friends be interested in joining me for a live pop-up DJ event sometime in the next week? I need more practice doing live sets and would love to have friends come hang out and dance or chill.

Man, I am getting super stressed about submitting live DJ sets to furry conventions. I had no idea they were so thorough and competitive, nor that they offer such rewards for DJing. Given there's hundreds of DJs in the fandom, how does anyone get through for set slots?

Sigh, I have so much work to do: making a DJ set for BLFC, setting up new sets of shelves for storage, finishing some yard projects before it gets too hot out, doing more house cleaning... but instead I'm spending my weekend recovering from chest infection. =(
It's been 30 years since I lived in Louisville, so I imagine a lot's changed in that time. When I lived there the closest thing you could get to Mexican was Tex-Mex from major corporate chains like Tumbleweed and Chi-Chi's. And I remember a "burritos as big as your head" place too, back then. ;D

So, what I do is just add a drop or two of Dave's Insanity hot sauce into my curry when I wanna ramp it up from medium to "OMFG volcano!" It has very, very little flavor, it's essentially just heat, so it doesn't mess with the flavors of your dish.
Will believe it when I actually see it, promises mean nothing to either political party in the last few decades. That's what happens when government is owned and operated by the oligarchy.

I also drive a Rav4 - it's NOT a small car! Holy crap. Where I live we're surrounded by these goliath work trucks, and they swerve all over the road, no doubt the driver's playing with their phone. And why shouldn't they (in their minds) when they're basically driving a tank? =/
Wow, so, in today's let-downs: I play a furry gacha game called XXL Woofia. Which purports to be LGBTQ+. Anytime anyone mentions female, trans or intersex characters on public forums, gay gatekeepers come out like faggy incels to bullybrigade the notion into oblivion. Just as bad as het cis men IMO.
