This looks an interesting opportunity and very much in my lane. Call for Chapters: AI-Resilient Assessment Design in Higher Education for Integrity, Inclusion, and Authenticity. www.igi-global.com/publish/call...

Not one for me right now but might be of interest for those researching entrepreneurship education. Beyond start-up: enterprise and entrepreneurship education for entrepreneurial careers, places and ecosystems. www.emeraldgrouppublishing.com/calls-for-pa...
A couple of proposals have gone in today. The first for an entry within Elgar Concise Encyclopaedia of Strategy Process and the second for a conference paper at "Ecole de recherche en entrepreneuriat et innovation non conventionnels”. Fingers crossed.
I am looking forward to getting my hands on a hard copy of this, it’s been a while but will be great to celebrate a small but important milestone. My first published chapter in an academic textbook. We all start somewhere. www.igi-global.com/book/cases-e...
I’ve been travelling around Scotland taking some time out. Now I’m headed home.
Taking some well deserved time out in Scotland and soon to be headed north, to the highlands. Life is about more than work, and travel and visiting new places I’ve not been before is essential for good mental health.
Here pictured at Hampden Park, Scottish National Football Stadium.
Today I had the pleasure of visiting the University of Glasgow and wow.
That place was magical like something from another era but enchantingly special. What an incredibly special learning environment that must be, truly incredible.
Hopefully the start of a really good collaboration and one which we are both keen to add additional voices to, especially internationally from outside the US and UK to broaden our existing perspectives.

Probably not one for me right now but another interesting publishing opportunity for those with an interest in internationalisation in higher education.

This one is; "Human-Centred Al Across the Atlantic: Governance, Agency, and Institutional Sensemaking in US and UK Higher Education," for the upcoming book, "Human-Centered Al Design for Higher Education Sociotechnical Learning Ecosystems."
I’ll be second author on this but another pleasing result.
Some good publication news. My first author colleague has had email acceptance of latest book chapter proposal and it’s a yes acceptance to prepare full chapter. We hope this might be an interesting one and it’s right bang in the middle of work I enjoy producing.
Small things that make you happy as an academic. When something you produce is found useful and usable by somebody else. I’m easily pleased but it genuinely makes me happy.
Hello Bluesky here is something you probably don’t know about me. Oh and taking ‘proper’ breaks is essential for good mental health and to avoid burnout.

My writing timeline is just too full to be able to take on this project with the deadlines set but sharing in case of interest for others. This would ordinarily be something I would very keen on.

This is an important piece of work I am preparing. ‘After the Family of Origin: Sole Family Survivorship as a Distinct Relational Condition in Adult Life’. It may be something that directly impacts many people.
I’m hoping to share soon something I’ve been working on, of great interest to me. It’s a short sport sociology case study examining Everton Women’s move to Goodison Park, a case of stadium inheritance, with particular attention to gendered sporting space, heritage, and institutional legitimacy.
It was long overdue but ResearchGate profile updated. I think this now more accurately represents the work and broad academic field which I am developing my scholarly interest.
Today I’ve posted a preprint I’ve been working on SSRN. Has anyone ever done this & have you had any positive / negative results?
It’s still in review stage so I cannot share yet but wanted this work out to gage if any interest and see if it has legs as a longer /more detailed piece of research.
Coming soon to Medium.
As many of us are about to take some time out for the Easter break, one thing that we’ll do is set our ‘out of office’. But have you ever considered the simple email signature? If not, this maybe for you.

Calling in some favours and it reminds you be nice, be helpful and be honest, always.
People remember that and you can get back support when you need it. It’s a two way street. Don’t give to receive but give and you will receive, when it’s done with honesty and respect.
Really looking forward to getting involved with this project.

While I prepare my documents for Senior Lectureship bid I’m thinking this is a good time to combine this work into application for Senior Fellowship Advance HE.
It seems logical to try and be using the evidence I am gathering in the most efficient way possible to maximise impact.

One thing which I have always been keen on is respect for experienced members of staff.
That doesn’t mean out of obligation or fear- but respect for those who have gone before you, and you can learn from, and who are willing to show you the ropes. .

The basis of an idea. Fragments start here.
Non academic post but the power of football (soccer) and fandom.
Something magical about when people come together as a collective and class barriers break down.
Sport is one of those few areas that in key moments is able to do this quite beautifully.
And a great song by Elton John!
