The green, the balance of the tuberose with the other elements. Usually tuberose perfumes assault me with their vigour, this one cuddled me.

Interesting to see that one of the judges for the Art & Olfactory awards also moonlights as a troll on sub-reddit Eau de Jerks using an alias.

Generally i like reviews that show how it made the reviewer feel, as no matter how accurately they are describing the smell, it is never going to be the same person to person. I also dont care for reviewers flexing by identifying aromachemicals no one else knows about.

I have found some perfumes that I love this way, and i would not have tried them otherwise.

If there was a practical way to do more blind-smelling.
I'd love to see brands do a mystery sample set and people can smell them with no PR copy, name, or accompanying note pyramid.
What's not missing from fragcomm?😅
I wish there wasn't a segment that treated perfume like a competitive sport.

I guess there is a spectrum of green, right?
Verdant, vegetal, grassy,herbal, chlorophyllic etc
But if i hear green, it is still pretty broad

Copyright submitted. Fingers crossed my application moves through the system without any hitches.

I’ve been working on a 44-page booklet, with text and illustrations by moi, that walks you through creating your own perfume. I’ll have it available on my Patreon, so stay tuned.

In general you might notice artists in different fields have a tendency to evolve into a style of their own that morphs into somewhat of a recognisable "signature". You see it from painters, musicians, photographers and even film makers.
I love that perfumers can be such chameleons #sotd
