Today is a momentous occasion. About to submit our homeschool year 1 portfolio for evaluation.

Truly feels special, a day I’ve been anticipating since this same time last year when we knew regular school wasn’t going to work.

Christmas season is over for me. I’ve moved on to Gaspy season (Gasparilla in Tampa).

Yesterday was a lovely relaxing Thanksgiving, first day off I’ve had in a long, long, long time.

I did a little bit of work last night, but still. Driving back home from Cedar Key still have some work to do this afternoon/ evening, but hoping to continue to work reduced hours today and the weekend

St. Augustine evening trip. Driving 90 minutes for Nights of Lights was overkill.

Still, we had fun on a Barbie-themed kart tour of decorations & city landmarks, with a very fun “Just Ken” tour guide.

“Adopted” a local teen and just bought everything on their wishlist for Christmas - aside from the Apple Watch, that’s beyond my budget.

I try to support one teen each holiday season as they tend to be the overlooked demographic for toy drives etc

Also I’m really bummed about not having the village pathway anymore - it was magical to have a dedicated Christmas walkway with all the food & drink booths and the firepit.

But glad they relocated the train sets.

It’s been a weird couple of days. Now it’s time to focus and work.

But first some pictures of our time at SeaWorld yesterday for their hosted media day.

I do love their Christmas Celebration. Let’s start with their Christmas trees that share decorations & facts about each decade from 1920 onward.

So it worked out to $550 per household for these four nights. Townhouse patio opens up to the community pool which was never busy.

Having 2 Disney media events within 2 days of each other, both that go until midnight - plus needing to get to Disney Springs for holiday content, I decided to invite my parents on a festive staycation.

We booked this townhome in Reunion and split the cost.

Worked out to $1,100 for 4 nights

I fell victim to the souvenir popcorn bucket as a bribe / reward for the boy.

We’re at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, hosted for work.

Also we’re gonna scrub our hands after this queue cause I don’t have sanitizer
