My local city councillor objects to a new rail line and station in the division because it’s more important to him that people can continue to store their private property on the streets without a nominal annual fee than improving public services for the area. Cool cool cool cool cool.

Farmers joining this morning’s Oxford tractor protest look set to receive a fine for passing the High Street ‘bus gate’, which permits only buses, taxis and emergency vehicles between 7.30am and 6pm. The Penalty Charge is set at £70, reduced to £35 if paid promptly.
