‘Age’ is just a container for your experiences. It is a measurement for how much you might have encountered so far. It is a bowl for all of your memories that grows as you do. It is not a reflection of who you are.

It’s here! It’s here! The Fairy Tale Magazine “Wildwood” Issue is out now! This issue (free 2 read/download, with suggested contribution - lynx in bio) also includes my poem, “Becoming Folklore”, which I consider to be one of my most FAVORITE pieces that I’ve written, about The Green Man, of course.

You can't tell, but in my mind I'm pillow-fighting a leprechaun.
This made it out of committee. You do NOT want to let it go to a vote. Go make your voice heard right now right now

Signed contract for Space & Time magazine AND found out that three of my poems have been nominated for the Rhysling Awards!
So gathers the human-animal, boots treading roads where there once wound rivers—now filled-in with silt and stone, where none can drink and fish never swim…

Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal. ♥️
It’s AI, so it’s just what’s left of the planet after all the water dries up.
Feeding America has a page where you can input your zip code and it'll show you all of the food banks near you overlaid on a map. If you need it, it's there. If you don't need it, think about donating money if you have it and your time if you don't.

Gasp! It’s me, isn’t it? So very honored to be honored with an honorable mention, to be counted among so many talented folks in Speculative Poetry. Congrats to all!
What is everyone reading lately? Bonus if you have a picture.
I’m finishing up “Dreams of Distant Shores” by Patricia McKillip.
Happy Birthday!
It’s always the same shit over and over again
The beautiful thing about PBS is that unlike other stations, this is one that can and will nurture you from the beginning to the end of your life. There is something for everybody. And you can always be sure that you’re going to come away better than you were before tuning in. (3/3)
It’s been my own commitment to myself never to let my education die, never to stagnate, or to hide inside an echo chamber of voices too similar to my own, or in places rife with propaganda—something you have to be very conscious of in this country. (2/x)
Watching PBS’s “American Masters” series. Finished Art Spiegelman’s “Disaster is My Muse” yesterday. Today, watching Toni Morrison’s “The Pieces I Am”. Powerful stuff.

What have I been doing away from social media and news of the incessant onslaught of horrors? Nearly completed one story, revamped another, and in a week, I’ll have another done. Brain is feeling like mush after writing for 8 hours straight today, but dammit, I want my work to exist in the world. ✨
Congratulations to all of the winners!
Thank you for this John. All very relevant to my own experiences.
New post at The Goblin’s Reliquary!
