Whenever I visit a school, or a schools' expo, or meet a fellow teaching professional, I always ask the same question: 'What's the best thing about your school?'

It seems only fair as it's the same question I ask our students whenever I'm showing guests around.

The answers are always so revealing.

Budding impressionists in Year 6. Arts week well underway. So important to make time for this stuff. It's more than 'just' art. It's history, it's culture, it's blooming marvellous.

This week, we are dropping our usual timetable and diving into ARTS WEEK.

Students from age 2 to 15 will each create an individual masterpiece that will be displayed at a local exhibition in December.

It's a fantastic way to raise the profile of art, and to get students and families invested.

Love this. Especially because of the parallels that can be applied to classroom teaching, not just teacher training.
