A good size. Hope the rumoured/listed one is about this scale.

Forty-three minutes and three seconds guaranteed to improve your day. One of the very best from 1997 - and that was a year of amazing albums.

Perfect. Make it happen.

(I know there was a mobile game, years ago, lost to time. But I don't want a point and click, I want a first-person pew pew stick the siren on and off we go.)

One thought after spending some time with Mouse P.I.:

Where's my The Naked Gun from the Files of Police Squad!: The Game?

Maybe ebay with a reserve you feel comfy with? Without knowing more, it's almost impossible to put a price on them. Could be fifteen quid, could be 500! Good luck with it!

Making sure you're not a bot!

Fwiw these models are not on the segaretro list of known watches - but that doesn't claim to be complete. (I do recognise a few of the models here, tho.)

Idk about legit or 'fake' but I've definitely seen the yellow one before. There are/were so many SEGA watches - I expect a lot of them weren't officially licensed.

How Southampton lined up against Swansea on the weekend

Click on a player's name, in this case Taylor Harwood-Bellis, and you can see their stats for the match. What a cool feature.

Something new on the BBC football coverage, which is pretty neat.

Go to the line-ups, after a game, and click a player's name... and now you get their stats. Nice!

But Nintendo Land. Reason enough to keep it permanently set up.

Played some of both the child android game and the cartoon mouse game today and, I gotta say, *video games*.

(I like both so far, cheers.)

Tested the stereo I got at 18, and still own and use today, with this gem.

Gotta hear that low end before you buy.

Also very up for emailer q&as, non-podcasty conversations, and may be able to arrange excerpts as we near release. (Who, where, when comes into play, there.)

I figure if I'm (probably?) not doing another book after this one, might as well go as hard as I can on it...

Doing another very cool podcast chat about Aliens: The Video Games later this week, and I appreciate everyone who's taken an interest.

I remain very available for more conversations about the book between now and launch. Gotta hustle, and need to get those pre-orders in.

Say hi, if you wanna talk!

One useful piece of writing advice?

Careful with puns or any wordplay that only works in the language you're using.

Because the odds are that it won't work in another language. That's a headache down the line that you can get ahead of. (Assuming you want your work published in other markets.)

Never spend more than 20 minutes *trying* if it feels forced. Look out the window. Make a tea. Sit back down, maybe something will clear. And if not, hell, have another break in a short while. Read a bit of a book, play a game. Then sit back down, again. Keep at it, keep going back. Works for me.

Many thoughts, much advice - but what if that's all terrible?

Everyone has their own ways of getting into a piece. Some days 200 words is enough. Some days 3,000 come effortlessly. Whatever you get down, it's not final in that moment. Plan, structure, restructure, start over. But keep going.

Sure but that's baked into the Switch Online subscription. (Still bought one. Albeit just the card model.)

Basically: this. (Which I own.)

But official.

Loads of built-in games but full GB and GBC cart support. The dream.

2 days ago 1 0 1 0

Yep yep yep. The wee Amiga is a great example. And the 2600+ re the older cart support.

All that said I'd still love a Game Boy Classic please Nintendo.

Probably. But if they're looking at that set of players ahead of next weekend, they've no chance.

154k followers, just gobbling up slop*. Who are these players? What is that kit? The account is full of AI crap like this, including more posts about #saintsfc. Just horrible, desperate rubbish, but I'm sure some fans fall for it.

(*How many of them are real, of course, who knows.)

I've been a mentor on this in the past and it was a very cool thing to do.

Give it a look, if you've time to spare to help the next generation of what we do on its way.
