Idk about legit or 'fake' but I've definitely seen the yellow one before. There are/were so many SEGA watches - I expect a lot of them weren't officially licensed.

Something new on the BBC football coverage, which is pretty neat.

Go to the line-ups, after a game, and click a player's name... and now you get their stats. Nice!

Played some of both the child android game and the cartoon mouse game today and, I gotta say, *video games*.

One useful piece of writing advice?

Careful with puns or any wordplay that only works in the language you're using.

Because the odds are that it won't work in another language. That's a headache down the line that you can get ahead of. (Assuming you want your work published in other markets.)

Never spend more than 20 minutes *trying* if it feels forced. Look out the window. Make a tea. Sit back down, maybe something will clear. And if not, hell, have another break in a short while. Read a bit of a book, play a game. Then sit back down, again. Keep at it, keep going back. Works for me.

Many thoughts, much advice - but what if that's all terrible?

Everyone has their own ways of getting into a piece. Some days 200 words is enough. Some days 3,000 come effortlessly. Whatever you get down, it's not final in that moment. Plan, structure, restructure, start over. But keep going.

The copy with the post, full of emojis, getting the manager's name wrong.

The account, Football Transfers, has loads of AI content, but 154k followers. Grim.

154k followers, just gobbling up slop*. Who are these players? What is that kit? The account is full of AI crap like this, including more posts about #saintsfc. Just horrible, desperate rubbish, but I'm sure some fans fall for it.

(*How many of them are real, of course, who knows.)

I've been a mentor on this in the past and it was a very cool thing to do.
