Biden could have stopped sending weapons to Israel once it became obvious the destruction nature Israel was going, but didn't. So the question is why.

The next thing to think why didn't his admin pressure Israel to negotiate &/or accept proposals by Hamas negotiators. Israel was the obstacle.

This is a free speech issue, unlike most of what Reform talks about. If you actually value free speech, this should concern you

i think we've all had that right?

& i think that's why (well, one reason why) starmer isn't getting a pass for this - he's coming across like that idiot boss (as far as i can tell, he *was* that idiot boss)

how many of you have had this situation at work -

a higher-up wants something stupid. when you try to explain what would be involved in doing that, they get frustrated & tell you to 'just get it done'

The Columbine massacre was on this date in 1999. Instead of energizing our country to get gun violence under control, it kicked off a new normal. One of the best explanations ever of journalism's destructive impact on mass shootings came from Roger Ebert in his review of Gus Van Sant’s “Elephant.”

It's a good question. One that the BBC will doubtless get around to asking Nigel Farage when he's PM.

Scotland has NOT! always had free! anything, what we do have was introduced by SNP!! by our taxes instead of pocketing the tax they redirect it back to help people, while Labour want 1 Billion cut from NHS and PHI introduced, so get your facts at least correct before making a statement.

2026 and a Royal Family that gets £500m a year and doesn't pay any tax should not be a thing.

We don't want them.

Shorter: Starmer was happy to be the figurehead for the Labour Together crew until it blew up in his face, whereupon he decided the easiest escape route lay in scapegoating civil servants

A bit unfair on the Major government, who finished off flogging BT, and did the railways all by themselves...

Remember when Wes Streeting announced he was going to make around 100k NHS backroom staff redundant with no audit, risk or impact assessment, then spent six months or so begging the treasury to give him the money for redundancy pay outs, to then be forced to take it out of future healthcare budgets?

Almost everything we argue about is a substitute for the thing we should be arguing about: the immense wealth & power of an oligarchic class, which captures governments, ruins lives and wrecks the living planet.
This class redirects our rage at scapegoats. To resist its lies is to resist its power.

Olly Robbins did what Starmer used to - demolish a PM’s convoluted excuses in a methodical, devastating way The prime minister is in even deeper trouble after the civil servant he sacked took apart No 10’s latest tangled explanation of the indefensible

“Watching Sir Olly Robbins—the man who was until April 6 permanent secretary to the Foreign Office—giving evidence on Tuesday, one thing became immediately obvious: for reasons that are evident, No 10 has put a lot of work into making a very simple, very damning story look extremely complicated.”

4 hours ago 22 2 4 1

That's how it comes over. I am bemused that Starmer says he wasn't told about the security vetting failure - but he made the appointment BEFORE the vetting was done. So his argument is an irrelevance - just like the man himself.

“The simple, damning story wouldn’t work for No 10: Keir Starmer could hardly admit that he’d known about Mandelson’s friendship with Epstein but decided it didn’t matter, having just sacked him for that reason.

“They needed a different story and came up with one that centred on vetting.”

It gets worse: No 10 also tried to get Matthew Doyle - a close friend of Mandelson - a job working for him in DC.

Remember - Doyle was asked by PM to investigate Mandelson's responses about links to Jeffrey Epstein & concluded he was "satisfied".

A *clear* conflict of interests.

🔥Oliver Robbins reveals that No 10 tried to get Matthew Doyle, Keir Starmer's former aide, a posting as an ambo in March 25.

He was under "strict instruction" not to discuss with then foreign sec.

Lord Doyle, awarded peerage by Starmer, was suspended after he publicly supported a sex offender.

The Iranian negotiators all wear glasses, probably b/c they read too many books as children. They are highly educated. The Americans are shallow buffoons.

The thing that really annoys me about all this Mandelson stuff is that the US Ambassador role was not vacant! There was already a highly qualified and competent woman in the position

And now this thing about finding a job for Starmer's ex Head of Comms?

Until 31 May, the Orbán puppets may voluntarily step down from their positions. This applies to the President of Hungary, the President of the Curia, the President of the National Office for the Judiciary, the President of the Constitutional Court, and the Prosecutor General.
On 12 April, the Hungarian people voted for a complete political transformation.
If these officials do not step down voluntarily by 31 May, then - on the basis of the mandate received from millions of Hungarians — we will remove them from office.

Robbins demolished a PM's excuses - just like Starmer used to The prime minister is in even deeper trouble after the civil servant he sacked took apart No 10’s latest tangled explanation of the indefensible

The simple story is that Starmer appointed Mandelson—a man fired twice from gov’t for dishonesty, who leaked confidential info to Epstein after the paedophile was jailed, and who spent 15 years as paid lobbyist for dubious global interests—as ambassador to the US ignoring civil servants’ objections.
