Aside from Hegseth's bro ridiculousness and wish that David Ellison would neuter CNN, he has depleted the press corps so that there were batting practice questions from Lindell TV, the Daily Wire, and Epoch Times. @wsj.com was the only legitimate news source that I heard identified. (
@myoder84.bsky.social "out of sight". You wrote "out of site" in tennis rage room piece.
Someone here, (please credit if anyone remembers who) pointed out that Bovino looks (and acts, probably) like Sean Penn's character in One Battle After Another, and now I can't unsee it.😆
This NYT article tells the shocking truth about those who spread false conspiracy theories after the Brown killings. Harmeet Dhillon, Asst. Atty. Gen. in charge of protecting white people, Tommy Tuberville, Anna Paulina Luna, Bill Ackman, Shaun Maguire. Shame! www.nytimes.com/2025/12/25/t...
Tough day to publish this, but I wrote at Beyond Chron on why Barry Bonds should be in Baseball's Hall of Fame. beyondchron.org/barry-bonds-...
It is hard to be optimistic, but if the Supreme Court wants to back away from living up Trump's ass, here's how it could use the pending tariff case.

"The tariff case currently under submission to the Supreme Court is the perfect vehicle for the court to begin asserting its duty to require some factual support for presidential proclamations." (includes reference to regime change in Bananas)

If the Supreme Court would like to come back from the brink, as it did in 1937, it could start with the pending tariff case. I wrote this for the San Francisco Attorney magazine.

@schumer.senate.gov is pathetic. Dana Bash asked him 5 times if he would vote against a funding bill that cut out health care subsidies. He would not answer. He physically quivered as he weakly evaded the question. We did get to see the double-clenched fist Rumpelstiltskin move.
It would have been nice if she had the goods to back up "disappeared." Like that ICE doesn't say where they are taken or allow visits with lawyers and family. Holman said it was like any arrest. Mika is adamant, but unarmed with the facts.

@joe-scarborough.bsky.social is such a blowhard. Takes forever to draw out and repeat a couple of points,. Not letting @esglaude.bsky.social answer. Also, @mika-brzezinski.bsky.social lacked the goods to back up "disappearing." ICE doesn't say where folks are taken and won't let them see lawyers.
In fairness, no one could have prepared for Rufo's full-throated defense of Richard Nixon and Watergate. Nixon knew of the plan to break the law and the pay-offs to the burglars, which completely undercuts Rufo's revisionist claims of innocence. At least @hubermanlab.com
made some sense. 3/3
Rufo launched his predictable attack on CRT and DEI. There was no one to point out that racism exists in our laws and society and that reasonable efforts to help disadvantaged groups are appropriate and should be legal. @realbillmaher.bsky.social @realtimers.bsky.social

@realbillmaher.bsky.social very annoying this week. Dishonest knife-fighter Christopher Rufo paired with milquetoast centerist Frank Bruni. Plus Maher is talking more and more. Guests can hardly get a word in edgewise @realtimers.bsky.social 1/3
We’ve discovered a literal miracle with almost unlimited potential and it’s being scrapped for *no reason whatsoever*. This isn’t even nihilism, it’s outright worship of death and human suffering.
INGRAHAM: You said there was irrefutable evidence that Obama was the mastermind of this intelligence manipulation and the perpetuation of the Russia hoax. What is that irrefutable evidence?
TULSI GABBARD: *makes clear she's got nothing*
My take on two Trump-appointed judges putting their Supreme Court ambitions ahead of vindicating the law. beyondchron.org/trump-judges...
I am learning that our family was not as oddball as I thought. Dozens of heartfelt obits for this man who brought wit and melody to our political situation in the 1960s.
In two significant cases, the Supreme Court lubricates the way for Trump's fascism. beyondchron.org/supreme-cour...
While the Supreme Court mainly backs Trump, often without even the fig leaf of a hearing, the federal district and circuit courts battle his tsunami of autocracy as best they can. beyondchron.org/supreme-cour...
