I’m more saying that the Supreme Court seems exceedingly unlikely to stop Trump if and when cases get there. Trump has threatened to withhold funding from Universities because of the speech they allow and has tried to deport “agitators.” Some court resistance but will it hold? I’m not so sure.

The president has been directly violating the constitution when it comes to freedom of expression, and the supreme court has largely allowed it. Colour me confused.
Hang on. The constitution has nothing to do with freedom of expression?
Is it, though? Doesn’t seem like the constitution is doing such a bang up job in the face of a corrupt President and Supreme Court, and a cowardly Congress. And let’s not talk about the guns…
As an Australian, I’d say as objectively as possible, we have a pretty great country. But the QLD government is not it. Regressive faux tough guys who think being “tough on crime,” including limiting speech, is the answer to societal problems created by neoliberalism and warmongering.
“This is a Wendy’s”
Is this still available?
Bluesky obviously using AI-generated code given the instability lately

Why in gods name are they advertising? Trying to win a PR battle?
This is some elite-level gaslighting. He’s saying disagreeing is fine, which it obviously is. But the real problem here is that the way Trump disagrees is to attack an apolitical religious leader with what amounts to a toddler’s tantrum and outright blasphemy.
If he ran that fast, tomorrow would be a national holiday.
Has anyone asked him *why* he needed to
be in Hungary? Like, what does their election have to do with the US?
This is totally his schtick. Talk loudly and be confrontational. The words are irrelevant as long as the tone suggests he’s “standing up to the bad guys.” All sound and fury.

The devil saying “First of all, yikes.”
You’re tripping if you think this will bring accountability. She was fired for someone even more craven and obsequious. She deserved to go but this really isn’t a win.
If only that were why she was fired. Sadly, she was fired for not obstructing or weaponising enough. And she’s being replaced with someone more craven and obsequious. So, Bondi deserves this but let’s not pretend this is a good outcome.
Apart from the fact that this is just stupid and disingenuous, can’t these people read the room? Opposing Trump on this is clearly the popular position.
