I’ve been avoiding passkeys as much as possible until you can properly back them up and restore them to avoid such mud puddle issues like these.

The iOS bluesky app hooking into the iOS translate API would be awesome
Something about how 1st apis look like they are structured concurrency safe but when you actually use them, they are not 6 call stacks deep, 0.1% of the time
This is why lockout prevention is one of my top things with computers and partly why I use things like mylio for photo management.
One day this stuff is going to end up like bank account access regulations. I’m kind of surprised its not a thing in the EU already.
I’ve used that a bunch for structured markdown logs too! Very useful.
IMO I don't think there would be much to strip down. It would turn into a $3000 device from a $3500 device. Most of the cost is the OLED screens and you probably still need passthrough.
One thing that peeves me is indie games that are made in Unity or Unreal and ship for the Switch and Windows, but they don't bother to check the "build for macOS" button and end up being Windows only. Beyond galaxyland is my recent example of this.
One thing I'm looking forward to in AI is taking a directory of 4000 scanned family photos and automatically organizing them by predicted fuzzy date ranges based on the ages of people inside them.
Man some of these kook really cool
I journal via taking photos. The more it could be automated, the better. Automated journaling is too marginal of a category to get good apps for it tho
Calendar: Did you know it’s CHRISTMAS!?
Yeah I know the feeling. I'm in the health space so I want to get things ready for new years.
I have now officially lost one airpod to water. I guess I'm lucky after 6 years of owning them.
It's hard to beat the experience of speakers over headphones. My Kanto ORAs just sound better compared to similarly priced headphones.
Have you been trying it out directly or with a code editor like cursor? You might find it better in an ai code editor.
Does anybody know of a swift formatter that lets you format complicated enum data structures like they are if statements?
Looks like if you want to do local LLM model inference, used 2x 3090s is still the way to go. The M4 series is at most 1.5x better than the equivalent M1 series chip, which was still outclassed by the 3090 by a large margin back then too.
Windows night light is surprisingly good, actually goes full red light mode and doesn’t slow down the computer like macOS night shift does
Its the built in audience and effort levels. Put a 5h post on substack and nobody sees it. Fart out a video on tiktok and get 2000 views. Make a one off demo loom video in 30m vs. edit your text, make screenshots is faster for you the author, etc.
1/2 Using AI has been a big part of my process dealing with crippling nerve pain that I’ve seen over 50 doctors for. I had to try because most of the doctors I saw were clueless and recommended overly specific answers for systemic pain, only getting worse as time went on, taking over my whole life.
Talking to users is always a great idea.
Love how zippy the bsky web app is
The era of the exclusive App Store needs to end. Fortunately, Apple's already got this figured out: the Mac is the model.

A markdown file
what app?
With AI, devs are going to use libraries less and just make their own janky versions even more, because thats easier than learning a new library.
