Labour’s great green energy plan could be a legacy as vital as the NHS | Polly Toynbee Ed Miliband has a rare chance to do for the climate what Nye Bevan did for health: create something future generations will be proud of, says Guardian columnist Polly Toynbee

'Every solar panel, every wind turbine, every heat pump, every EV on the road makes the UK more secure. This link between clean energy and national security throws off the idea that green policy is weak, fluffy, lefty, wokery, when it is basic national defence.'

Russian hits are often designed to be talked about. I've no idea in this case but polonium tea for example.

Prime Ministers who demand that they are brought solutions not problems, end up being presented with even bigger problems.

This is incredibly cool tech!

It makes me want to break out my sword again, I haven't fenced in years, but maybe it's time...

Palantir’s deranged manifesto shows why it should be nowhere near our public services.

This is not a normal company, it's Trump's favourite tech firm and a danger to our NHS.

EU: The European Union will require sale of mobile phones with “user-replaceable and longer-lasting batteries” starting in 2027.

The regulation demands “availability of spare parts and manuals for 10 years to curb planned obsolescence”.

I'm sorry, there are some people I'm prob going to have to unfollow because the negativity is wild. I mean, I get being disappointed, but the things people are saying about the team, Arteta and Odegaard is so completely OTT I'm fed up looking at it.

Criticism, fine, have at it. But this? No thanks

We played really well all things considered. I think on the balance of play that’s just about a draw, but we didn’t convert the chances.

So from here it’s a straight sprint. They’ll have the goal difference edge after Wednesday. If we can play like this the rest of the way, we can still do it.

Arsenal beaten, despite a vastly improved performance.

That 90 minutes suggested to me that this is going to continue to be gripping right until the very end.

If I survive it.

Fine margins, of course. Hit the post twice too, but didn't defend either goal well enough, Haaland too strong for Gabriel for their second. The Brazilian probably lucky not to see red as well.

This title race is gonna go down to the wire. And the wire feels like it's electrocuting my heart.

I feel better than if we'd lost playing like we have for the last month.

There was, at least, something there today.

Before today I thought Arsenal wouldn't win the title with a defeat today. Now I'm not sure. Played really well today. What a difference to have Havertz and Ødegaard back together.

It's depressing how cartoonishly racist this is and how many cartoonishly racist ppl who lap it up

Just need to win 5 and hope it's enough. A terrible place to be considering where we could/should have been, but it feels a more attainable feat than it did before we put in that improved performance.

I'm a broken record on this but the radicalisation and brain rot of Gen X/boomers is a massively under-appreciated problem

Green Party council candidate in Lambeth.

In a normal world, it would not be sustainable for a Party which claims to be "anti-racist" to ignore this, or to try and punt it away by telling everyone that everything is ok because Zack Polanski is Jewish

The best thing about Brexit is it sold the EU to the rest of Europe.

It will also damage their chances of winning and sustaining power too as being on the side of swaggering bullies who denigrate your country is not popular.

It was a finding of the review that there shouldn't be a culture of anxiety/caution about reporting fraud, controversy. As well as a big challenge about reporting key migration themes (work, care, study) that aren't politically contested, and how to do balance, mix pluralism of views intelligently

WARREN: I want to understand how slashing healthcare for families so Meta gets a $3b tax cut is a 'really good outcome for the American public'

IRS CEO BISIGNANO: I don't see the two as correlated

W: Those tax cuts were paid for by pushing people off their healthcare. Did you not follow that?
