I feel bad because I know it's hard out there for small businesses and they deserve so much success!!! But also :(

The really good bagels place that was at the farmers market every week (5 min walk) just opened a brick and mortar (15 min drive) and the hype is soooo huge. The opening week lines would give me an anxiety attack, so I don't know when I'll get a chance to visit there

This is worse for the tiny coffee shop with the best breakfast sandwiches, which I like to stop by when I walk to the library, because they are fucking tiny and cramped and also warm. The hour standing around a parking lot for pastries is more tolerable

Currently in that weird space where I'm incredibly happy for local businesses I love thriving but also they're doing so well I'm having trouble frequenting them any more bc at a certain point the lines make me want to die

I do still have to look a stupid amount of stuff up but I AM extremely enjoying it and want to go play more game now :( but I have to work :(

Anyway the beginning of the game is very rough just because the game is extremely bad at teaching you how to play it and it's often inscrutable what it wants you to do, so you get the classic video game "once you get past [unreasonable amount of time to invest] it gets better?"

I started playing crimson_desert last week, and my experience with this game is basically like: is it a good game? ehhhhh, shrug. Is it a big open world game with lots of EXPLORING and QUESTS and LITTLE TASKS and COLLECTING and stuff that scratches the itch of my deep brain and I find addictive? Yes

Also we got to meet the 10 day old kittens 😭😭😭

@frequentlybees.bsky.social is showing us her Pokopia world and Kelly went on a real good face journey when she learned the background premise of the game
