Giver of Runes wasn't terrible. 4x Brazen Borrowers was oh-so-necessary. I didn't miss the basic plains, even VS moon stompy.

The deck is a blast! I removed Planisphere in favor of Tamiyo. Piracy Charm for anti-BM, but I think MD Dress Down is better.
One game I got 9 islands in play. Grindy, but Murk lets you close when you need to.

I just 4-1'd with this $900 UB control deck. Back to Basics was NEVER boarded out.
Kids: if you build your deck correctly, you can play zero dual lands and still prevail. (This said the deck could use a Ucity.)

I'm having a blast with BUG Beans. I think 4x Bowmasters is justified in the current meta. Fair magic currently revolves around Bowmasters IMHO.
Fun fact: the only 2024 / 2025 card I'm playing is the 2x Harbingers in the side. Sometimes you just don't need fancy new cards.

Kaito is still really strong. I think Kaito belongs in UB Tempo though, which is an efficient 2-color deck. The deck I'm playing here (BUG Beans) has shed all its tempo elements in favor of just going bigger, and that's where Beanstalk excels.
My first BUG Beans league that includes Rakshasa's Bargain drops tonight. I've got another league coming tomorrow night, too.
This deck is so fun to play. So much value, so many options.
