'Imagine a boot stomping on a human face, forever' (Approvingly)
I'm seriously being fucking hammered on all fronts.
It's taxes, it's mixam doing me dirty, it's medical bills, it's everything.
Please please PLEASE I need help!
They're close but they're a shifting level of close, so you can go 'Yeah, turns out the nearest neighbour is Lux for a while due to shifting mechanical organs, that will be good for an arc of fascist beating'
Incorrect: It primarily exists so Gargoyles could have a REALLY cool antagonist.
I'm working on it!
I still occasionally go back and read the first one! It was fun, kinda shocking when it did end. I wasn't at that point used to the IDEA of Webcomics ending under their own direction, instead of 'I guess it just stops updating one day'.
Being able to end a webcomic is a rare talent. Most don't manage it.
Article about new Avatar fighting game that reads: "Azula’s struggling states of mind have been captured in two polarizing gameplay toolkits. In Focused Mode, Azula fights with calculated precision, setting traps and controlling space with lethal attacks. Her movements become smoother, with many of her special abilities leaving behind oil traps that can be ignited with a flick of her wrist. She also gains access to a grounded fireball, giving her stronger space control. This is the Azula of deceit, control, and composure, the poised future ruler of the Fire Nation. In Firelord Mode, Azula abandons restraint and fully embraces chaos. Traps are replaced with raw destructive power as her move set shifts toward relentless offense. Her attacks grow significantly more powerful, her movement becomes more erratic, and several of her abilities transform entirely. For example, her standard fireball evolves to a towering wall of flame that slowly advances across the battlefield, forcing opponents to face it head-on."
Not sure how to feel about them giving Azula a Mental Illness Install.
Four mechs standing outside a barrow, through which a portal shows a forest full of pools
The Bean Sí Among the megafauna and unknown frames during the initial event was a single humanoid pilot spotted when a frame was felled by an assault by several security RPVs. She bailed out of the silvery mech, bringing several subalterns down with spear and pistol as she retreated back towards the barrow. Diana Adler’s obsession with the supernatural has led her to conclude that she is one of the mythical constructors of the barrow and that she must speak with the girl. Without a mech and on foot, surely it must be possible for forces to catch up to her. Dr Ibrihim Hobeika’s paranoia in contrast believes this figure to be nothing but a creation of what is likely a metavault, the lure of an anglerfish to draw in more victims. This lure is nothing but a deceptive threat and fools entranced must be stopped from getting themselves hurt. \
I noted a severe lack of elves in Lancer.
She's a fallen hero, rather than a conflicted villain. There's still elements of nobility you can see but she's not struggling towards her better nature at any point.
Was mostly just thinking about how so much of Gargoyles is about the Gargoyles and where they fit as defenders of community. Their clan, the castle, the city. Their definition of 'community' often varies and shifts but Desdemona is consistently the least happy even when winning because she's ALONE.
I do find it funny how when you first encounter Puck it's 'oh, fairies are assholes' and then you meet other fey and it's 'Oh, PUCK is an asshole'.
I could see a lot to do with community and base rules. If you want them to play with 'gargoyles defend things', solid rules for the things you defend feel important.
Does it count if the horse itself is the archer? If so, I think Super Robot Wars manages it with a pistolero mech that often acts as mount for a samurai mech.
If Xanatos told me he'd get me to Mars I'm sure I'd die there as part of an evil ritual or testing a deathbot but I'd GET THERE and likely pretty comfortably.
And the answer is somehow not 'before the hit the Nazi'.
Of course, where else would you find Scottish immortals?
I dunno, maybe there was a cool part of 1994 that most of us were not allowed to see?
I think the thing is...sure, they're going to lose in the end but they still have enough power to kill every man woman and child in New Vegas before the mad dogs are put down if they make that push.
A tornado can't last forever but it can still ruin a lot of lives before it dissipates.
While that is entirely true, I'd love to see a Vulcan Security Officer who just belts a Gorn back several meters.
The Psychics at least tried to levitate the Pentagon, not eat the entire electrical grid.
Okay but Sci-Fi is so much more fun when 'Oh yeah, there is psychics, that's just normal future stuff' is just part of it.
He's actually sensing the small bits of good from all the other people who's blood is all over vader's hands.
Lies! How can you see my brow formation if it's obscured by another guy's pocket I'm rummaging through?
Honestly, that's a pretty reasonable ghostwriting deal.
I am like 90% sure Shatner didn't write those lines but it's this case of 'this series is dumb and stupid and low budget but man, sometimes you get a little bit of gold out of even that'.
'You have the right to remain silent, you have the right to an an attorney. You have the right to own property, you have the right to not BE property...do you understand?'
'Yeah, yeah, I understand!'
'No you don't! You take it for granted, that you'll always be a person!'
