This was the second time I made a trip up to speak about the importance and value of local planning and zoning, glad to see a board that listens to the community!
The meeting was relocated to the Ellsworth School gym to accommodate the expected crowds, I wish this many people cared about local government the rest of the time!!
Banks Township, in Northern Antrim County, has has a controversial proposal to eliminate all zoning, backed by some board members with perceived conflicts of interest. After over an hour of public comment, the ordinance failed on a 2-3 vote--so Zoning stays in place!
I gave up having a phone because it was over 90% spam calls. No, I don't want to sign up for your Medicare Advantage plan. . .
Also, for the record, this isn't a left-liberal-center thing. Ultimately if you're doing the work it doesn't matter AT ALL what your politics are. There are many good contributors from all over the spectrum. The problem is that these networks CANNOT work well if they're closed, vetted affairs.

We can confirm Alex Pretti was a nurse at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. As President Trump has said, nobody wants to see chaos and death in American cities, and we send our condolences to the Pretti family. Such tragedies are unfortunately happening in Minnesota because of state and local officials’ refusal to cooperate with the federal government to enforce the law and deport dangerous illegal criminals.
