That can go down as the greatest ever champions league night at the Emirates. Amazing stuff. Now to finish it off!

The media manufactured a title race for clicks? That's a very strange take. We beat city 5-1 and everyone was buzzing. We cried to sign a striker but nothing was done. This was completely our own doing regardless of injuries.

In full agreement here. But lots will brand it as being "negative". The disappointing thing about all this is we absolutely all saw it coming.

There was clear signs of needing a striker last summer, and actually long before that (when we relied on Nketiah). Jesus was never reliable, and Havertz is not a striker. Injuries don't change that. I agree we've coped as best we could, but it was pure stubbornness not signing anyone.

It all can't be roses and daffodils the whole time. Even if some may have accepted a while ago, others had genuine aspirations that this was our season to take. I think the disappointment is fair in our failures. Like anything, it'll pass.

And that's that. Another season to look back on with regrets. Failure to strengthen in the summer and January in the forward position was there for absolutely everyone to see. Sadly, stubbornness gets us again. #Arsenal

Who doesn't know what an oligarchy is? If 80% don't, then America is truly helpless

I actually seen Giroud play the Whitecaps a few weeks ago. He's in total retirement mode and wasn't up to much, so we can rule that one out 😂.

I agree we shouldn't fork out lots on an unwanted striker. I'll leave the job to the scouts but even a loan would suffice. With the quality of delivery our team can now provide, even Yaya Sanogo would bang in a few!! 😝

I can see that, but I absolutely do believe he's been reluctant. He kept faith in Nketiah long after it was very clear he wasn't title winning standard. He bought Havertz who is not a striker. Is that not being stubborn?

We've been crying out for a striker for years. It's the last piece of the puzzle in my eyes. We don't have any striker right now, so I'm not comprehending how buying one wouldn't improve our squad. Otherwise we're throwing away this chance at the league.

I don't know. But we desperately need someone in there. Amazing how stubborn Arteta has been about this position.

Now sign a bloody striker so we can go and win the league. We won't get a chance like this again.

21 years ago, British journalist Tom Hurndall died after spending 9 months in a coma.

Tom was carrying a Palestinian child out of range of Israeli army gunfire when he was shot in the head.

We will never forget him, nor his vision of a free and independent Palestine.

Arteta being stubborn with his striker options the last few years reminds me of when everyone was crying out for a defensive midfielder under Wenger.
I fear he'll hold out and this will be one of those big regrets.

This is more lies. Trudeau was finished before Trump won. We badly need a more factual media online presence.

Correct. My point is we haven't reached the "doesn't" part yet.

I really want that! But blue sky isn't there yet. Match day scores and horse racing etc is still predominantly for twitter. The UK and Irish elections also was crap on here. Lots in those industries are on twitter out of necessity.

The image you shared doesn't actually prove anything. Before Elon it had a 45% share of online use, which is big. It has dwindled in 2024 thankfully. But twitter was a huge part of British culture.

UK sports in all regions is predominantly twitter. It's how live events are tracked. Sadly it has too much power. Fairly wild to say London circles.

I don't know how you gathered this. Twitter was extremely important in the UK before Elon took over. Less so now.

Hard to believe some of the replies on here. I may need to move back on X/Twitter. #ExtremesEverywhere
