Ruby’s going to nod her head to the idea of doing something to take her mind off what she said about her older sister especially since she doesn’t want to keep sitting in guilt over it.

“Yeah sure that would be an amazing idea Dad. I don’t wanna keep wallowing in self pity right now to be honest.”

“I don’t wanna go to sleep. I’m feeling alright. Anyways shall we start heading off to go for our walk? I don’t mind what we do whilst we are on our walk too babe.”

Ruby is going to smile softly again with her soon pressing a soft kiss to her forehead and begins to play with her hair.

“I mean I guess he wasn’t too mad. I mean I wouldn’t be mad if he got mad at me since what I said was harsh. But at the same time I guess I just need to learn to talk properly?”

Ruby is going to smile small at Odette, her hand coming out to carefully hold Odette’s own and kisses her cheek.

Ruby is going to nod her head, feeling a lot more better now that Tommy has reassured her that what she said was done from pure frustration and not intended to be horrible.

“I didn’t mean it like that at all Dad I can promise you. I just got frustrated by the whole situation I think that’s all.”

Ruby can only manage about ten minutes of her sleeping with her soon rubbing her eyes and let’s out a little yawn. She’s also blinking for a few seconds, adjusting to the light of the room then finally looks at Odette.

“Hi. Sorry how long was I asleep for? I feel kinda refreshed now I hope.”

“I told my dad if that helps so I don’t feel so guilty about it. But yeah I think I’ll be fine or at least as fine as one can be when their whole family is literally one giant mess.”

Ruby’s offering Odette a small smile, her hand carefully giving Odette’s own a squeeze before smiling small.

“I’ll be okay but I said something about Violet to Odette and I feel really guilty about it. I said to Odette that ever since Violet was around it felt like everything was going wrong.”

Ruby’s going to glance down at the covers and begins to start messing with her blanket to avoid his gaze.

“But I still wanna go out! I’ll be okay I promise you that. Okay wait how about a Power Nap? I can have about twenty minutes to sleep and then we can go.”

Ruby’s going to let out a faint yawn, her eyes closing slightly and is soon resting her head against Odette’s shoulders

“But I didn’t say it to her- I didn’t mean that I’m just frustrated by everything that’s going on and I’m sick of pretending I’m fine when I’m not. But c’mon don’t you think it’s been one thing after another?”

Ruby’s looking for any form of answer to help her but also sees she may not even get it.

“I mean they seem to be talking to one another now which is good. I don’t like the idea that they fought but Dad isn’t that the whole point? Fights happen but they make up.”

Ruby’s returning the squeeze that Tommy is giving to her and is just trying her best to cheer him up.

Ruby’s going to smile once again, resting her head against Odette’s shoulder and is slowly closing her eyes once more. That’s when she’s letting out a little yawn but does jolt awake again.

“Sorry! Shit sorry I was not trying to fall asleep I swear! We can still go I promise you that right now!”

“God why couldn’t they have just I don’t know not bothered talking to her? Everything was just fine and then since we got Violet it’s been nothing but just one giant mess.”

Ruby’s going to run a hand through her hair now but is feeling a little bit of guilt at her own choice of words.

“Dad I don’t think you will become the villian. You are just trying to help and I can imagine that it’s frustrating but maybe I can help too? If we both become an issue then guess it’s worth it?”

Ruby’s smiling small at her dad, hugging him slightly as she wants to cheer him up a little.

Ruby is finally laughing for the first time in a long time with her soon giggling and pressing a kiss to Odette’s lips before holding her hands up once more and nods once again.

“Yes please. I would like to be carried to the bathroom if that’s alright with you baby. I kinda like when you carry me.”

“But they won’t be Odette. I don’t think Violet even wants to talk to talk to her again and I can’t blame her. Would you want to talk to someone who basically got you childhood abuse?”

Ruby’s going to smile small now as she’s glancing down at the floor and messed with her sleeves.

“How can I do that when mum and Violet are not talking to one another? When they won’t even be in the same room as one another. It’s not exactly easy to live carefree when my whole family is falling apart!”

Ruby’s sitting up now as she’s running a hand through her hair and let’s out a little sigh.

“Can you join me please? Don’t really wanna be alone right now to be honest with you. I don’t even think it be okay being alone right now.”

Ruby is going to let out a faint laughter, her attention back on Odette once again and is soon taking her hand into her own and gives it a gentle squeeze.

“I can’t really go anywhere to be honest with you. I don’t wanna go far anyways especially since my mom has been really upset with this whole thing with my sister.”

Ruby’s going to stand up once again, heading to the window so that she can open it before looking over at Odette once again.

“Well yeah that’s true I guess. Nobody can be perfect but I don’t know. I guess I just don’t wanna keep having to worry about I don’t even know what I’m worrying about anymore.”

Ruby’s going to let out a sigh now as she’s laying back down and decides to just stare up at the ceiling again.

Ruby’s going to gently take Odette’s hand, giving it a gentle squeeze whilst nodding her head to the idea of looking a little bit more presentable before she’s heading to the bathroom.

“I’m gonna go take a shower. I feel like a good scrub under the hot water will do me wonders right now.”

“I mean right now my family having issues again. My mum spoke to Violet’s birth parent and there a lot of history between that and of course it’s upset my sister but she won’t admit that.”

Ruby’s going to lay her head back for a second whilst her eyes close since she’s lost in thought for a second.

Ruby’s going to nod her head softly to the idea of doing something else to distract her mind as she really can’t remember what exactly it was that she wanted to say.

“Yeah that sounds like a plan Dad. Sorry I think it’s just early morning brain or something. If that even a thing.”

“You know what why don’t we go on a walk? I think that will cheer me up if we just go somewhere for a while. Besides when was the last time we actually went on a date?”

Ruby is going to grin now, standing up and grabbing her clothes so that she can change into something comfortable.

Ruby is going to nod her head again as she’s taking a deep breath and finds herself to glance down at their hands before looking back up at Odette and smiles warmly again.

“Thank you for being so honest with me. I know this is probably how you don’t want to see me and I’m sorry about it.”

Ruby’s going to close her eyes for a second, thinking about the question that she wants to ask her Dad but finds herself to go quiet and soon shrugs her shoulders slightly.

“I actually can’t remember what it was I was going to say. Damn it. It was on the top of my tongue too.”

“You think so? I mean I feel like myself I won’t lie but I guess it’s getting to me a lot more than I thought. I’m sorry Odette I don’t mean to be such a miserable bitch.”

Ruby is going to let out a faint laughter now with her now pressing a soft kiss to her cheek and sighs softly.

Ruby is going to nod her head softly to Odette’s words as she knows that she can trust her but at the same time doesn’t want to just start trauma dumping when it’s not her story to tell.

“I know I can. I’m sorry I don’t know why I get so worried about everyone else you know? Is that bad?”

Ruby’s going to nod her head softly with her soon closing her eyes for a good few seconds before opening her eyes and soon glanced over to her dad.

“Can I ask you something? I’m just a little bit worried about Violet and I know I shouldn’t but I’m worried about her.”

“You don’t have to worry about her Odette. You don’t need to burden yourself with whatever shitty thing is going on with her or this family.”

Ruby’s going to run a hand through her hair a few times before taking a deep breath once again and squeezes her eyes shut to ease a headache she’s got.

“No. I don’t wanna worry them. They don’t need to have more dumped on them Odette. It’s fine I’m sure it will just pass on its own or whatever.”

Ruby’s going to just run a hand through her hair and is now laying down on the bed again and stares at the ceiling again.
