Had to take a better pic of the cloth seats from a few days ago. Just don't see this on CTA anymore.

And when I got on the bus this afternoon I may still pose this question to the CTA. When a bus gets cancelled does this mean a driver didn't come into work? 🚌

This is what the train looked like when I got on.

I almost thought there was a #Cubs game tonight but I'm not sure they played at home. Regardless they're out of the #Postseason ⚾️

The Indian Trails Tenant Union has tried over the past 2 months to get a meeting with Alderman Beale. They have been ignored, kicked out of the office, and had phone calls screened.
Call Alderman Beale and ask him to meet with the Indian trails Tenant Association! 773-785-1100

Sun-Times: Trump freezes $2.1B for Chicago projects, Red Line extension in shutdown fight with Dems Ward 9 Ninth Ward 9th Ward South Side Chicago politics Alderman Anthony Beale Chicago city council neighborhood news CTA Red Line Roseland Pullman

It's a shame that the President, the Governor of IL and the Mayor of Chgo are feuding leading to the freezing of federal funds to build this necessary CTA extension into an underserved part of the city. I wish there was another way.

A lady was following behind me trying to figure out where to board the train. It doesn't matter just go where you see open doors. That's what was I looking for I told her. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Some people tweaking, no sense of direction and fail to understand all trains go north. No train goes further than 95th all trains turn around and go back to Howard. I can understand if you don't regularly take the train.

A minute ago a lady was trying to use the emergency red ball to open the doors before we even pulled into the station. She was telling the motorman to stop the train regardless of whether we were at a station. Thankfully a CTA worker was there to stop her.

Not about shaming but to see someone laid out on the subway platform - as if to go to bed for the night - is not something I want to see.

If you can see the people that are huddled in this corner of the train. The can where the motorman would control the train. They'd often be smoking or worse in this part of the train. CTA needs to address this.

Edgar knew how to win races in Illinois and worked hard to keep his legacy of ‘civility, compromise and compassion’ alive * My weekly syndicated newspaper column… Jim Edgar ran a brilliant campaign for governor in 1990. He set the template for every winning statewide race since then by focusing on the importance of independent suburban women. The Republican Edgar defeated a Catholic Democrat — Neil Hartigan — in that race, with a boost from the National Abortion [...]
