By-election today for the Stirling East ward. Given the SNP won a by-election here in December, and Labour are in a much worse position, I'm inclined towards the SNP being likely winners, giving them every seat in the ward if so. Would sort of defeat the point of PR!

With this system the PR element works to it’s max at the full cycle election every 5 years when all seats are contested. By-elections are sometimes a law unto themselves and making sure it’s a PR result is low in voters priorities.
Ayr North (South Ayrshire) by-election, first preferences:

SNP: 790 (23.3%, -22.5)

The UK has had 4 General Elections since 2014. People are allowed to change their mind and be asked how they want to be governed. Independence support at 56% today - now seems like a good time.
