If you're interested in postcolonial Christianity that is queer-embracing, critiques settler colonialism, and challenges patriarchal hegemony, did you know that Kwok Pui Lan has a weekly Substack?

Things I did because I was so tired this morning (so far)
Open the car trunk instead of gas cap
Drive away with the gas tank open
Put my shirt on inside out and go out in public thus attired
Daylight savings I hate youuuuu
Title of the book I requested thru ILL, Trans and Genderqueer Subjects in Medieval Hagiography
Look what is waiting for me in the library π€
There are sooo many uses (speaking as mom)
Three books on a green blanket, with the banner Cozy!: The keeper of magical things, can't spell treason without tea, and legends & lattes
One book on a green blanket, with the banner ...cozy?: The Seaglass Blade
It appears I may have accidentally written a cozy-adjacent book, so I had to investigate! ππ³οΈβπ

Yay, so happy it got to you! And hope you enjoy it.
One year ago today, brutal and racist Border Patrol raids began in Kern County, CA. They hunted down farm workers, violently detaining our union members and terrorizing our communities.
This began a year of deadly force across the US that continues today. www.dailykos.com/stories/2026...
I am so sad that my Mandarin class was cancelled for lack of registration (other than me) and now my afternoon is taking down the Christmas decorations π

Me too! Cognitively I know it's safe but I am a nervous flyer at the best of times, so having the constant panic response was not fun π
Arrived in RDU from SFO last night thru roughest turbulence i've experienced π if there are any airplane experts here, what is going on when it feels like the plane is being tossed around, and there is a loud roaring noise? Are the pilots gunning engines or is that the wind?
2025, don't let the door hit you on the way out (but it wasn't ALL bad...)

Eee thanks! Off you go into the storm, little query boat
Finished the last full edit round of the sapphic epic fantasy book I'm planning to query, and good god I love my musician and mathematician who fight through every kind of betrayal to stand against the world.
It has a cone inside but it's too drenched in caramel to do anything aside from attacking with knife and fork
It's hilarious slicing into it
Cookies and cream and caramel!
Did you know that Baskin Robbins makes aice cream cake shaped like a turkey and it is delicious but also kind of weird π
Obviously I would use magic and my girlfriend would have a sword, the most practical and problem solving option πββοΈ
A page of The Seaglass Blade, with a typo circled in red ink.
Old style proofreading: the final frontier π
It is really worth doing this even though I've gone over this mss so many times already. A few punctuation things, a few typos, and occasional unnecessary sentences or unclear dialogue tags add up!
Thank you! I love them all β€οΈ
