I originally read this thinking you lived in Australia in a particular suburb that all the Kiwis move to and you could hear some of them like happily chatting to each other.

Wholesome either way 😆

a little girl is cutting her hair with scissors in front of a wreath Alt: A little girl is cutting her hair with household scissors

The first hairdresser I visited here had obviously never used the clippers and left the back of my head looking like a cheap copy of "The Great Wave off Kanagawa".

The second hairdresser was much better but a staff member made a joke about poor people.

So I started shaving my head.

In hindsight, I probably should’ve marked the photo NSFW since I’m out here showing off the printer’s insides.

A large office copier/printer sits partially disassembled in a room, with its front panels open, internal rollers and toner areas exposed, and tools and removed parts scattered on the carpet nearby.

Good news friends!

After replacing the printer drums and some more tinkering (they had to pull the printer apart) it's working again! 😙🖨️💕

Thanks to everyone who helped cover the bill, it’s taken so much stress out of getting this bad boy back up and running.

Some things need big computer, others need tiny computer. For everything else there is the unsatisfactory middle computer (read: tablet)

I think it happened when I very lazily copied the links from Mastodon! I was going to redo the whole thread, but it was a thread 😬 and I am lazy right now 😭

a woman is dancing in a dark room in front of a printer . Alt: a woman kicking a printer. rightfully so.

This one means a lot to me because 1, it’s my thesis on why I think security people get so burnt out in their roles. And 2, my zine printer recently broke, and I’m currently trying to cover about $1,500 in repair costs.

So every sale big or small helps me cover that cost.

Accredited entities register This register contains details of Digital ID entities that are, or have been within the last 12 months, accredited under the Digital ID Act 2024.

Agree, their website provides little detail.

ConnectID was accredited by the ACCC (the Digital ID regulator) last year see digital ID register link below.

There is information on what is needed to achieve this accreditation here:

Hot take - even as a joke, I don't really like the idea of ppl blaming interns for taking down production

Even on the chance it happened to be true (and there are definitely cases where it wasn't an intern), if an intern was able to do that, that's a problem with the processes and systems in place

A 40mL tube of Michael Harding Cobalt Teal oil paint is $97.95. 40mL of Langridge is $69.95.

It better taste god damn delicious when it arrives.

This is probably one of the most pretentious things I will ever say about music but I think albums made with streaming in mind are inferior to albums made to listen to end to end.

The sound and feeling they give is completely different and you can tell.

There I said it. I won’t take it back.

Oil painting is such an underrated hobby because what do you mean for three hours my main task can just be “don’t eat the paint”?!

Does anyone know how tf to turn of PyCharm's newly aggressive text suggestion? It has turned blog & README writing into an absolutely dog shit experience.

Hiya, one of the local disableds here.

While you're celebrating #Menulog closing down, remember: Woolies and Coles delivery is getting less reliable (at least where I am) and platforms like Doordash give me access to Aldi as well as ways to fix my weekly groceries when the orders are (very) wrong.
