Wanted to try the one highlight challenge going around, but I don't think this fully fits the theme so it's not their entire body/a full silhouette, but it was super fun to mess with lighting! I definitely want to try some more

Has anyone figured out how to get Koana's broken glasses on a player character yet because now I'm thinking about it, I really want to gpose Roscoe mid-battle with his glasses smashed. Failing that, I'll add it to the enormous art backlog
I would love to say yes, given that his primary weapons are guns/gunblades. However, Roscoe's eyesight is not fantastic, so sometimes, his aim goes wide. If he loses his glasses mid-battle, everyone's in danger
Controller, I never played games on mouse and keyboard growing up and just can't get the hang of it. I was horrendous at XIV and constantly died/failed mechanics the entire way through ARR until one of my friends told me you could play on controller. I owe them my life

An Au Ra NPC called Bethden says, "This tome tells of an advanced civilisation somewhere out in the cosmos creating a powerful weapon - one capable even of travelling between stars. What an imaginative work of fiction!"

It was only when I realised that the WoD is also referred to as 'he' in Yuyuka's playthrough that I realised he's ALWAYS male. I thought after reading the encyclopedia that the story came from the Exarch's attempt to spread stories of the WoD around the realm in preparation for our arrival
Thinking about Tesleen's rhyme about the Warrior of Darkness. I somehow managed to misunderstand it in both playthroughs - on my first one, I thought it referred to Ardbert, forgetting he was NOT the WoD in this world, and on my second, I thought it referred to the player character

I had no concrete thoughts on Meteor but now I'm thinking - since Roscoe took his name from a poster of a bard in Gridania pre-Calamity, wouldn't it be funny if that bard looked suspiciously like Meteor
Especially since Meteor WAS a bard in the 1.0 trailer...

Aaand then he gets too attached to it. A joke that went too far and now oops it's part of his personality. He is simply a raccoon man now
In addition to this, by the time Roscoe is being celebrated as the Warrior of Darkness, his distinct appearance has been noted in multiple places - a helm-less 'dwarf' with a shadow across his eyes. He figures this will work as part of his persona in the First while he fulfils this role
Committing to it, Roscoe keeps it as-is for the entire journey through Amh Araeng and back to the Crystarium, if only to make Yuyuka smile. Even if later it does end up being washed off in Eulmore, he replaces it later, deciding to fully throw himself into this being his new unexpected 'brand'
In an attempt to protect his vision against the unrelenting light of the First, Roscoe remembers a trick he heard about reducing sun glare, so he buys some kohl in Mord Souq - but he gets a little overzealous with it. This elicits a small laugh from Yuyuka in a time when everything is very grim
YEARS after slapping the black eye stripe on Roscoe and never having a proper lore reason to back it up, I finally have one!! All of Roscoe's lore now has a place!! 🕺✨
