This Starmer drama is galling enough without having a smug Patel sitting there audibly tutting - I am old enough to remember 2017 when she was involved in a political scandal involving unauthorised meetings with the Government of Israel and broke the ministerial code and resigned.

This Starmer drama (yes it was deliberate) brings into question the access and decision making powers of SPADS who are not elected by the public and therefore have no accountability for their mistakes - with the legacy of the likes of Domminic Cummings and McSweeney surely its time to ditch them.

They should do a Macbeth goes mad from wading in blood moment with him but I doubt it.

If the virus isn’t important they should have ditched in within 20 minutes - then played out what actually will matter over the rest of the series.
We’ll get a middling ending with some very rushed character moments.
Everyone knows this is the end, play to that.

Exactly its just sort of spinning along now to get from A to B with a bit of sadomasochism and splatter to keep fand entertained -its just a bit meh.

I can see why he's got to this point but have a bit more to offer in terms of internal demons/thoughts/doubts wouldnt go a miss.

I do like (in a love hate kinda way) Homelander as a character and the actor played him brilliantly until this series. You don't often get such a horrible and comical villian on tv so its a real bloody shame they dumbed him down like the rest of the show.

So glad its not just me Craig, Its never gripped me as a comic like Preacher and his stint at Hellblazer did either.

this chatacter and he has kept me gripped to the show in the same way he did in the comic - but this series has seen him "dumbed down" from a cunning, Machiavellian figure to merely an aggressive, all-powerful MAGA esque brute and its such a shame and a waste of a script and a brilliant actor.

I'm all for keeping it topical but it would better served as more clever subtle, satirical or just less direct - if its going to be offering escapisim it needs to have a dynamic plot to keep me emgaged. 5) this is the most unforgivable for me - The dumbing down of Homelander. I absolutley loved

or getting stuck in "limbo" (e.g., Hughie's constant lack of safety - they guy must have the worst luck on the planet) Butcher's obsession with the evil supers is too static, its lacking any risk or intrigue and the dialogue is so predictable. 4) The show's political commentary, too bleak and blunt

The thing is shock value has its place but the excessive gore and sexual humor, has become repetitive, overwhelming, and, at times, just Acme "Looney Tunes level" silly, and its lacking Ennis' biting sharp british satire. 3) Character Stagnation: frustration with characters behaving inconsistently

Unpoplular take 'The Boys' is not so super. I'm a huge Garth Ennis fan but the show especially this series has left me cold. 1) Plot Stagnation: little, if any, meaningful character or plot progression 2) Excessive Shock don't get me wrong as someone with as dark humour as they come it is welcome

It blows my mind that came out in 1988.

I once got a deliveroo order sent to Glasgow I still have no idea what the hell happened there, but I got a 20 quid voucher as an apology from them somehow.
