Is there another order for shirts being placed? As you can imagine there were quite a few requests!
The “We Keep Us Safe MPLS” tee designed by @dbrauer.net made its liturgical debut at @judsonchurch.bsky.social this morning.
I think I’m gonna write a hymn or a poem or create a mixed drink called Snow on Rhubarb

Please tell me someone has footage of my wife @mathgirlmpls running down the aisle screaming “no” (like Michael Scott) during the citywide DFL convention to decline her nomination for another term as a Mpls school board director? @wedge.live maybe?
EB White once wrote, “I rise in the morning torn between a desire to improve (or save) the world and a desire to enjoy (or savor) the world.”
Today Lori I split this saying down the middle. she went to the citywide DFL convention, I went to the Twins game
Graced to hear Rev Alan Storey deliver the The 2026 Fosdick Lecture On Preaching. Here’s a freebie for Sunday, “More people believe the world will end than believe the world will change.”
Followed by the call to noontime prayer, Sext, at Target Field on Jackie Robinson Day

One of most underrated joys in the Twin Cities is biking home from a Twins night game.
Evensong service at Target Field, Red Sox vs Twins
Priest. O Lord, open thou our lips.
Answer. And our mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
Why aren’t we talking more about the finger snapping four armed headless/trident/spiked headed (angel?) in the middle that is also wearing Uncle Sam (?) striped pants?
Do you remember the movie, Crazy People? A comedy about truth in advertising campaigns like, "Buy Volvos. They're boxy but they're good" & "Metamucil. It helps you go to the toilet. And if you don't use it, you'll get cancer and die."
what if a church was really honest about itself?
@tylerkepner.bsky.social will the 2026 season be the season when a clergy pass article debuts? The Twins offered a SRO pass for all home games, $229 or $2.82 per game. I’m calling it my clergy pass (cheaper than the Red Sox’s clergy pass)
How else could someone get elected pope if he wasn’t a politician? Also, what is the Vatican crime rate?
The weather in mpls was absolutely lovely today but there is a slight downside, b/c today was also Happy “have to say hello to the neighbors you successfully avoided all winter” Day to those who celebrate.
I really loved the 48-54 hours of spring Minneapolis had this year. Maybe next year we can get 60 hours.
Dang. sorry to hear this!
If not for the helmet you’d be like the tigers outfielder today - carted off to the er
Lots of Wikipedia rabbit holes for sure
These days it’s hard to find times when I’m super proud to be from WV, but on this day it’s hard to not to smug about it.
Still can’t believe the Twins/ a four game 🧹 & above .500 + meeting IRL @dbrauer.net @wesburdine.bsky.social and @djgloverepair.bsky.social
A great day #9 of 30 days of biking (even got to read a chapter before the game started)
I’ll look for you at the game around the 2nd inning

FYI: first massive insect hatch of the year along Minnehaha Creek - try not to ride with your mouth wide open (unless you’re a whippoorwill)
Exactly like that!
as I watched that clip this evening I wished he or the pastor would have said, "You know for 1900+ years the Church survived without cars, we're gonna be okay"
as an introvert Easter service is always a big lift, but I've learned to adapt - I've got skills. For some reason (purely mystical) I feel compelled to hug everyone after worship. About 3/4 of the way through the line I tired out and started wishing everyone Happy Birthday instead of Happy Easter.
A pretty typical Good Friday church crowd - about a 1/5 of normal attendance
just saw 2 kids (5th/6th grade) sitting on their bikes outside of the walk up window at Heather's eating their complimentary tasting cup of ice cream with looks on their faces like they owned the joint
happy day 3 of #30DaysofBiking (and way to work the system kids!)
Good Friday indeed!
