Started to work on my Steam capsule. Still need to work on it, but I like how it looks so far.

I'm really enjoying the new Broken Social Scene song, The Call. Can't wait for their new album!
I'm finally done working on the co-op mode for my game! Next step, adding streamer mode, where the chat will be able to act as the second player!

It was hard to only choose 9 games, but here's the ones I think inspired me the most! #my9games
Really satisfied with the new design for the maze, which is giving more of a commodore 64 look. Changed some colors as well and I think it looks much better that way!
#gamedev #indiegame #indiedev #decker #gamedevelopment
Yeah, I think I'll go with that version. I wanted to have a sort of commodore 64 feel to it.
Decided to make some small changes to the maze in my game and trying to have a more retro look. Which version do you prefer?

For anyone who lost motivation to work on their game and who didn't touched it in a while: Remember why you are making it in the first place. Be proud of every bit of progress and have fun making art only you can make! Work on it at least 5 minutes today, you got this!

It's nice to see Underwater Sunlight in there, one of my favorites from Tangerine Dream!
One thing I love to see amongst game devs and indie devs, is when people use smaller tools to make games! The way their limitations forces you to be more creative and to experiment is great.
And it's just more fun to use tools that are easier to learn, instead of engines that have so many options.
I don't know who needs to hear this right now, but to any indie devs feeling bad because their game didn't sell or wasn't played as much as you wanted:
You still made a god damn video game. You did it, and that's harder than anything most people will do. I'm proud of you, you did great.
Thanks! That's definitively a fear I'm having while working on my first commercial game. I should try to remember more often why I'm doing it in the first place and that actually finishing it is what matters the most!
Reworked the intro for my game and improved the main menu!

Happy third birthday to everyone's favourite multimedia platform #Decker
Internet Janitor posted a piece about what's happened in the past year beyondloom.com/blog/unionst...
The more I'm polishing my game and trying to finish it, the more I understand the quote "Art is never finished, only abandoned". Sometimes, you really need to tell yourself "Okay, this is good enough, let's move on to the next thing".

New album from one of my favorite bands, The Besnard Lakes! Already listened to it twice so far and it is incredible!

Congrats on that amazing achievement! My favorite bugs are moths, especially the giant peacock moth!
Working on a text adventure game using a tool that wasn't made specifically for that can lead to code that is quite messy haha. But hey, at least it works exactly like I want to!

You climb the stairs and find a golden orb. Please don't touch it.
>touch orb
The orb vanishes.
>touch orb
The orb is gone.
>touch orb
Please try to do something else.
>touch orb
...Fine! You touch the orb and win the game.
As Commander 14 once said: "Now is the time to embrace your Divine Nonchalance!"
Thanks! But yeah, it was mainly the font and the boxes that were the ones that came from the engine, so I wanted to have something a little bit more personalized haha
Saw a post the other day about generic menus that felt amateur, so I decided to finally change mine a bit. Not sure about the color yet, but I think it's already better than what I had before. Here's a before and after.

It's been a while.
Glad to be announcing a new game, and happy that it is something experimental and weird: a tiny, tense, turn-based strategy game about merging units into spectacular combinations, and then watching them evaporate thousands of bugs.

Yes, exactly!
