Tonight’s tipple, it’ll help wash down a paella.

Close Encounters and I’ve never watched all the way through.
Autumnal birches with the hulk of a snowy Liathach behind them.
I bought the Josh Pinot but not cracked it yet. I’ll fire up the pizza oven for that lol

Wee trip to Aberdeen yesterday to see the short eared owls who have returned to the same area for the 2nd year.
Getting some pics in the feed. Going back to some classics. This is from the Little River in Oregon.

He had the “same job title” so much more qualified than Michael.
Ha, I’m heading over there this afternoon. Sweetie shop!
I’m waiting on the A7rvi being released. Still shooting with the A7riii for landscapes. Its sensor is still one of the best though. But today I’m currently thinking of changing my Street camera, Leica Q3 for the new Q3-43. One for sale on eBay that I might go for.
Aye some guys are consumed by gear. I love buying gear myself but you need to do something with it!
I started going to Donegal round about 89/90. Getting stopped and searched at crossing points at the Derry crossing point was quite scary tbh. Don’t know how people felt doing it daily.
Documentary street photography. 👍
Aye it was. I watched I, Dolours when it came out a few years ago. So most of the story wasn’t new to me but I thought it was brilliant. I could’ve watched it one after the other if my wife could’ve stayed awake. I’m fascinated by the Troubles.
On my list. We finished Say Nothing on Friday, it was brilliant.
Wow. As the vote margin is finally settling into its final form this really does add important context

Ok Bluesky 🍀, do yer thing!
Been trying to find a reasonably priced English version of this book but it’s out of print. The used ones are crazy prices. Anyway the English title is Edges, by Harry Gruyaert. I’ve had his Irish work book for a few years and it is brilliant. Two of the images here are from County Kerry.
Cheers David. It was a big soft box most of that day. Sun tried to make an appearance but it was just a big ball of diffused light at best. Ideally a week later would’ve been better for a bit more colour in the trees.
Cheers bud. Autumn and Winter in one scene can be a lovely combo.
One from a fortunately timed overnight trip to Torridon in early October when an overnight dump of snow on the tops of Beinn Eighe, gave the developing autumn colour on Loch Coulin a nice backdrop.
One of the things enjoy about autumn is the purple hues from the silver birches once their leaves have shed. Images from a recent wander in the Cairngorms.
Man in blue, "When I'm waiting in a 40 minute Spanish passport queue on my holiday, which Brexit benefit should I console myself with to make my queuing worthwhile?"
The look on Jacob Rees-Mogg's face...

How’s it going Andy. They were great times photographing the games back then. Seems so long ago now.
