While I’m not a big Rutherford fan, what he does, which others before him failed at, is to buffer Aquilini’s meddling with the team. That they are using the word “rebuild” is case in point. With buffer in place, perhaps Johnson and Malhotra could succeed. Any other suggestions?

That was one messy game vs Kings. The only positive was a little fire from Wilander and Buium. They are going to need a new coach… and some good draft picks.

Big boy… didn’t work for TBL, but more room to grow for Canucks?
Curtis Douglas is generally considered a deceptively quick and improved skater for his size (6'9"). His 6'9", 240+ lb frame makes him difficult to move, and his long stride allows him to cover ground effectively.

Okay, Quinn Hughes is gone. Breathe. So the Canucks have two firsts and a second in next years draft. Be nice to see them get a third rounder, and maybe another first or second. Need to have more picks in the first two rounds.

Foote doublespeak about Bains: “…it'll come if he does the right things and he'll play if he's predictable and reliable, and he knows that. What I like is that he's been real reliable and predictable…”

Wtf?

I’m sure Aquilini considers himself a shrewd businessman. But it doesn’t take much to realize that what the graphic below shows, which is a shameful lack of assets, maybe the worst in the league, is a terrible recipe for business success.

November pain continues for Abbotsford Canucks after two more losses - Chilliwack Progress Canucks have just one win in 10 games this month, sit nine points out of playoff spot

The euphoria of Abby’s Calder Cup last year has crashed onto the reality of a weak prospect pool this year, now that Bains, etc, have elevated. More damage to Canucks fans hope.
