#FridayNightJam From Blossom Dearie's 1966 album "Blossom Time at Ronnie Scott's" (which is a club in London). Written by Dave Frishberg, a great songwriter and writer of several Schoolhouse Rock songs -- and Blossom also sang some of those!

One has to be a tool to buy a cybertruck — they are the Hummers of today — but the thing I fault this guy for the most is being queer person with Ukrainian connections who STILL apparently supports Trump and Musk. Buying the car is mockworthy but his continued support for them is truly deplorable.

Hamlet Minassian was an Iranian musician of Armenian descent. This track is from an an album released in 1980, recorded in Iran during the last moments before the 1979 revolution. It’s fun and unique cheesy synth pop music.

Why don’t you think they have a vision for the constitutional order? If you listen to Ezra Klein’s podcast, he’s quite clear on that. Frankly, the constitutional order was pretty clear before Trump took office, so seems like there’s not a lot of debate on the proper vision of that on the left.

The dual speeches for No Other Land were great. I appreciated Adrien Brody’s comments, but it’s unfortunate they came at the end of such a mess of a speech. I liked Conan’s “standing up to a powerful Russian” line.

This lyrically direct track from her 1969 debut is appropriate, in this moment of transparent moral failures dressed up in false complexity.
