This show is possible through the support of the Palestinian Scholars and Students at Risk network (PSSAR); Toronto Metropolitan University’s Creative School; the Journalism Research Centre at TMU; The Muslim Fund; The Studio for Media Activism & Critical Thought (SMACT) and stitched! studio.
By tying together personal narratives and documentation about the on-the-ground reality of this genocide, this show weaves a compelling narrative that asks audiences to engage with violations of humanitarian and international law in Gaza since October 2023.

LIVING WITH DRONES is an interactive live journalism show that my friends & I @stitchedstudio.bsky.social have been sharing. It confronts the devastating impact of Israel's use of drones in the besieged Gaza Strip.
We’ve got a show coming up next week in Ottawa:

As Israel escalates attacks on Gaza City, thousands flee south to overcrowded camps that are also under fire, while many stay behind with nowhere safe to go.
Israel is carrying out scholasticide in Gaza, systematically targeting schools, universities and the right to education.
stitched! studio is looking forward to presenting LIVING WITH DRONES at the Kailash Mital Theatre at Carleton University.
📍Thursday, Sept. 25
Show starts at 7:30 PM
Doors open at 7 PM

On Aug. 25, Israel carried out a ‘double-tap’ strike on Nasser Hospital, once again targeting and killing rescuers, journalists and civilians.
On July 22 British doctor Dr. Nada Al Hadithy returned from Nasser Hospital in Gaza where she recounts children starving and families struggling for basic food and medical supplies. But hunger isn’t the only threat; drones are being used to surveil, track, and target civilians.

This violence is not random. It is systematic. Drones hover above, watching and targeting people seeking aid amidst a famine. What is presented as “humanitarian aid” is in practice a militarised system that starves, surveils, and murders.
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) released a report collecting medical testimonies from Palestinians seeking aid and from medical staff on the ground.
The findings are stark: more than 1,000 people have been killed and over 7,200 injured.
