Playing Persona5. My guy is called Matrixie Diva, he works at 7/11 because it raises his charisma stat

I heard an NPC dialogue between two highschool boys and the other one was saying, "you should try taking shower every day, I heard it makes you more attractive"
this game is doing important work

Pretty good photo of me, but it's missing the second wrist support on drawing good arm

I feel GRRM gets a bit misquoted on this, maybe; he has based some things heavily in real historic events but he picks and chooses what parts to keep fantastical. Stark kids are very much magic kids, Martin likes the "inherited special blood" trope

Been a long time since I've read Finnish fiction, but really enjoying Suomaa by Maria Turtschaninoff. Keen nature observations, short but effective little stories through the ages about people and their relations to nature in the bogland, in practical, mundane and mythical sense.

Ilmaisuja, joita ei kertakaikkiaan voi kääntää englanniksi niin että oikea tuntuma säilyisi

Not necessarily what I love the most, but I think there are works I've made that are objectively better portfolio work. It's not a bad idea to separate them

Amazing addition, that's hilarious to think about

I’m almost finished with the fourth book!

Ha Amano actually did covers for an edition of the Japanese translations, so his version of the character exists. I'm nowhere near his level of artistry and craftmanship, but wanted to give my own spin regardless in similar space of influences

While I've been reading the books it's been great to listen to podcast series by Ranged Touch/Shelved by Genre folks.

I suppose this is my contribution to Severian as a jrpg protagonist camp

I wish I had the willpower to ignore Sauron’s eye every day
But alas
I hope your dream comes true tbh I think that’s the best life scenario, to be free of social media

I think it's a cool way to test the environment design, if player can navigate just by following signs and landmarks and hearing directions, without relying on map, that's pretty good! You get to appreciate the environment in a different way too when you can't just follow red marker or warp around

Low key thought the scene where he writes down his name doesn't matter, because he's criminal I expected the police to be like that's bs, that's not your real name, but here we are Diva

I'm bad at coming up with names for games, it can take an hour to think about a name

I just wanted to get over it so I can play the game, and having no other context for character except he's doing stunts in big eyelashes I named him Matrixie Diva

Dying every time they call him Diva-kun

My favourite thing about first 4 h of Persona 5 has been the modern day Tokyo ambiance. I didn’t know how to look at the map so I navigated the areas by just looking at signs and asking around which in some other game might be frustrating, but for some reason in this case it really enhanced the mood

Yess I’ve listened to them all the way until the 4th book (almost finished!) and it’s really fun and great podcast. I’ve really enjoyed their long discussions and humour, been recommending it to everyone I can

I’m reading these books in Finnish and they have very graphic design, abstract cover treatment, without any characters. I think they’re fine, but I really prefer the character illustrated covers…

I knew Amano has illustrated covers for Book of the New Sun by Gene Wolfe but today I learned, so has Takeshi Obata.

Imagining these books as anime designed by Obata is hilarious. I love his art, it’s just the tone that it sets that’s crazy.

(Left is Amano, right is Obata.)

I became so good at the gourmet delivery quest in Silksong that when my partner got to that part, and he was feeling stressed and annoyed about it, it was finally my time. Singular instance of "I got this" for me

Most useless flex but hey I need it

I was listening to anime director Mahiro Maeda’s interview and thinking how I admire his drawing skills, and in the same moment he goes on to describe how his drawing is “no good at all, so rough and bad”
