New preprint!!!! ๐Ÿšจ

We studied the temporal evolution of food trade networks๐Ÿ•๐Ÿœ๐Ÿฅฉ, identifying heterogeneous topological shifts that eventually lead to an increase in vulnerability in food-insecure regions.๐ŸŒ

Kudos to all coauthors! Very happy to see this one out.๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

Population synthesis with geographic coordinates It is increasingly important to generate synthetic populations with explicit coordinates rather than coarse geographic areas, yet no established methods exist to achieve this. One reason is that latit...

New preprint: Population synthesis with geographic coordinates ๐ŸŒ

We introduce a method to generate synthetic populations with explicit lat/long coordinates.
Using Normalizing Flows + VAEs, we capture spatial + non-spatial correlations between samples and features.

From global trade to your gut health: we connected the dots on #FoodSystems at the @css-conference.bsky.social! We're simulating cross-scale shocks and co-evolution in companies & cities. Open question: assumptions about large-scale diet changes?
