I made some charts to illustrate how the various Winter Olympic Sports, Locations, and Athletes have been mentioned on Jeopardy! over the years. Let me know if you notice any interesting patterns or something I missed!

What game?!

My first two thoughts:
1: 4 minutes of correcting a student's behavior now may save 40 minutes later
2: Effective responses should teach the other kids about appropriate behavior and consequences.
So I wouldn't see that as a total waste, unless the student just needs an alternative placement.

I made graphs about all the tennis players mentioned on Jeopardy!, comparing how often they were asked about during and after their careers, as well as Singles vs. Doubles success.

I can't believe those athletes wasted all that time lifting weights. There isn't a single barbell on the field during a game!

I'm trying to make graphs of every topic on Jeopardy, and this time I did a couple for golf. This is the list of golfers who were mentioned more than once and one a Major. Data is from PGA and J-Archive and I made the graphics in Affinity. #golf #dataviz #jeopardy

Science Teachers Rare As “Unicorns”—So Why Cut Their Premier Award? 40-year program honoring America's best STEM teachers paused. 4,000+ past winners wonder: Why eliminate $10K award that costs 1¢ per citizen & addresses teacher shortage?

As proud as I was to add my name to the list of Utah PAEMST winners, I was disappointed to realize I will be the last. Thanks to Talia Milgrom-Elcott for including my thoughts here. And thanks to my wife for reminding me I'm too old to say I made Forbes "under 30."

I’ve been trying to study every Boxing clue that has shown up on Jeopardy! Based on my research, I decided to make three charts of what I found interesting. The data is from J-Archive, BoxRec, and IMDb. I used DataWrapper and Affinity Designer to make the graphics.

Man, it's bittersweet that in my last year of teaching I finally have almost every student pass the AP Physics 1 test. That new curriculum helped, but I also finally had a good system of test prep.

What if a college was recruiting a girl who ran a 4:30 mile, but downgraded her scholarship because she ran a 6:30 in 9th grade? That's exactly what they do with GPA, weighing your abilities from 3 years ago the same as your accomplishments today. #edusky #gradingreform

Some other general science channels you probably know are SciShow, Be Smart, Kurzgesagt, and VSauce, who is another creator that has taken a break to focus on his subscription business (Curiosity Box). Let me know if I missed any of your favorites! 19/19

The rest: 3Blue1Brown often brings Physics into his math videos. Slow Motion Guys has excellent clips for a Physics class. Other smaller Physics/Engineering channels worth checking out are Up and Atom, Alpha Phoenix, Science Asylum, Fermilab, Real Engineering, and Engineer Guy. 18/x
