Not exactly “My Cousin Lora”. Amazed at the patience of the Justices. So much has changed in the past 5 years, this incident seems like small potatoes. As soon as an argument invokes “weaponized” I tune out.

Catholics are single issue voters. Overturning Roe trumps everything (pun intended), although God only knows (literally) how many abortions trump paid for or otherwise forced.
Gonna need a longer snow stick.
This current system tilts favor toward individuals in the dark triad. We need to start emphasizing alliances and cooperation. Communities can out-compete selfish individuals.
That’s why Dems are taking a stand. We demand public hearings. We demand compliance with the law. And, we demand real oversight and justice for the survivors! (3/3)
Republicans have stopped regular committee hearings. And, instead are holding roundtables where official motions (like contempt) cannot be made. And they control the committee and the chamber. (2/3)
Why is the House not holding Bondi in contempt? Why is Oversight not holding Epstein hearings? Why is Oversight not doing more in this case?
Good Question! (1/3)
In the minority’s world non-profit is code for anti-capitalism slacker commies. There’s a couple MAGA non-profits out there. Weird debate.
One of my favorite landmarks, spent many a day wandering and mired in the Mancos Shale.
Love the map.

Starting February 18, 2027, smartphones and many portable devices sold in the EU must have batteries that users can remove and replace more easily. That means #Apple #Samsung #Google #Xiaomi etc may need to redesign future devices to meet the new rules www.business-standard.com/technology/t...
At least it’s going down to 10°F tonight after 5” of new snow overnight. Wouldn’t want to lose any fluffy flakes of joy. ☃️⛄️
We passed the official road service area “deep snow surcharge” back in February.
I don't know Jonathan Slater but this post of his is one of the best ever.
The pandemic and telework turned me into a backyard birder. I obviously feed the blackcap chickadees, red polls, jays, nuthatches, and woodpeckers. They’ve been around thru the winter. Other recent sightings include spruce grouse, boreal chickadees, a bald eagle, and today a flock of snow buntings.
Finally something positive about postholing, thank you.

Change with Washington Post “gift” articles. If I send a gift article to a friend WaPo wants the friend’s email etc. Not really a gift anymore. I’ll not burden friends with WaPo marketing. A free example of excellent journalism is a positive - spam is a turnoff. Bezos needs more yachts I guess.

Not only is it “within the Congress’s authority”, but it is the Congress’s responsibility to act
🤦♂️
Teenagers — sheesh!
We live to fight another day! A victory tonight—as we killed a backroom deal Johnson and the WH cut to extend FISA authority for five more years. Dropped in the middle of the night.
We killed it on the Floor. But, it will be back. So we must keep fighting!
Vote was very close. This is why the midterms are important.
Release. The. Files.
It’s clear the Epstein class is still trying to cover their tracks—using the same playbook they always have: discredit, dismiss, and intimidate the survivors.
Mr. President, it’s time to comply with the law and answer to your own accusers.
