We're interested in:
- the relations between spatial and sonic governance
- how certain kinds of sound are taken to have cultural and economic value in gentrifying cities
- how different sonic aesthetics and conceptions of aesthetic value shape urban inclusion and exclusion
Please share the CfP!

I recently read the work of my LU colleague Carl-Johan Palmqvist, a philosopher of belief, "non-doxasticism" and misinformation. A key point wasn't just that misinformation leads to false beliefs but that a context of fake news and AI imagery makes it harder to ever be sure of anything.

Was at Simon Halberg's successful PhD defence this afternoon. His thesis is a work of rare quality, quite a page turner, with a fantastic central argument and focus. It's free to read online and should interest historical and landscape geographers + many others! portal.research.lu.se/en/publicati...

I was amazed by the quality of the contributions and discussions at this event last week. I've never heard such thoughtful Q&A questions, for example. I learnt so much and have lots to think about. It was great to host and get to know so many wonderful people. Missing you all already ❤️

The idea of sonic citizenship also got a mention at the launch of this book and sound art installation this evening. Seems to be pushing forward interesting discussions about sound in/and public space
