yet again i find myself thinking how just because i have a PhD and written two book in the history of psychiatry doesnt mean i go around diagnosing and treating people. Lanes, people. Lanes.

maybe a deep dive into the already existing history of medicine in texas would be good?

Today is 3 months since I left the US to come back to Australia with 3 suitcases and no job. Some work things are in motion, I miss my American friends but not the country. I’ve changed more than the people I left behind and frankly that’s fine. I’m grateful for family, fresh air and democracy.

I have learnt a lot in my nearly three months back home about who my real friends are in both hemispheres and who was only ever a performance.

I am still so unsettled about last nights nightmare I don’t want to go to sleep. While also being exhausted. 🥱 😬🙄

I just woke up from a prolonged nightmare about trying to leave the US and how all means of transportation and the friends taking me failed at every step and I was left to get there by myself and had to walk down a freeway past an ice cream truck crash with dead people lying around….
