Yesterday after coming off a night shift (and knowing I was working that night lol) I ran my first ever 5k!
I'm famously not a runner, hate it really but I'm proud of myself for completing this
I truly can only imagine how bad it smells in the summer girl it was SO BAD
I'm going to be so for real, nobody wears deodorant so it smelled atrocious for one.
Because it was so cold, exploring wasn't something I did like I do in other places, was very point A to B of tourist destinations.
Next time I visit France, I'll go to Nice when it's much warmer
Black people do NOT play about being greeted before being asked any questions 🤣
Went to Paris for a few days as a late 28th birthday celebration and just a "i needed a break" time
Honestly 4/10, likely won't visit again for a long time but maybe I went in the wrong time of year
Long time no see everyone! Happy belated new year!
Since we last tuned in: went to NYC, tried on wedding dresses (may have found the dress??), turned 28, brought back the loc bob but now issa lob, started watching The Real World again
An interesting and timely article about the primary care shortage facing the USA 🇺🇸.

2nd OB senior block ✅️
The fact as of this rotation I've hit 71 deliveries since starting residency is kind of wild but I'm so proud of myself!
This is my second Christmas Eve/Christmas on inpatient during the holidays and while it stinks, I know it's necessary
When you're spending time with your family and loved ones today and tomorrow, remember the people holding down the fort at the hospital, making sure people still get the care they need.
Facebook and IG got to see these first but look how cute this loc bob is!
Dealing with chronic pain throughout 2024 has really sucked and what sucks more is i delayed getting care because I was worrying too much about how me caring for myself would inconvenience people in my program
I’ll never choose between these two albums! How dare you??? They’re both untouchable works of art!!! Moments in history!!! We’ve got to stop pitting— (Janet.)
Also if you want to see drone footage of my hot air balloon ride, here's it on tiktok (since we can't share vids on here yet)

Mexico City Rating: 8.5/10
Great solo travel destination, great food, things to do, didn't get crazy looks being a Black woman (especially one traveling alone) which I appreciated.
As always if you want links to any of the things I did, lmk!

After seeing from the sky, saw Teotihuacan from the ground
Following the tours it was back to the airbnb to get my bags, say bye to my amazing host then head to the airport to return home!
Sat:
Last day best day!
0300 wakeup call for a 0400 pickup for what you may ask?
Hot Air Balloon Ride over Teotihucan + tour!!! 🎉🎉
The pictures don't do this balloon ride justice
(I have a video on my IG & the clock app)
After the class, hit up the Museo Nacional de Antropología which was 1) GORGEOUS 2) SO informative
May be the most captivating museum I've ever been to, close second to the NMAAHC.
Cooking class? Amazing! I do one wherever I travel to because food is culture and an easy way to also learn history.
Cooked so many foods, made tortillas from scratch, real quesadillas, salsas, tried so many foods, etc
Such a fun experience!!
After breakfast I went and found the apartment my dad lived in 20+ years ago in CDMX to send him pictures, saw the Angel of Independence, took selfies then went to my cooking class!
Friday:
went to Panaderia Rosetta which I had seen on tiktok and MY GOD WAS THAT PLACE GOOD
No like this post dedicated to the treats I had + OOTD
Thursday I started off with a walking tour of the historic district followed by galavanting, then I found my way to Parque México where I sat down and read a book for a bit then got dinner
Wednesday evening, I arrived, got settled at my airbnb (honestly love the host would go back and stay with her, had such amazing insightful conversations about equality, Palestine, etc) and grabbed dinner
Did a nice little 3.5 day trip taking advantage of Thanksgiving and being on a clinic block🎉
This is the start of my Mexico City 🇲🇽 thread
Like I could've spent days in the anthropology museum in CDMX today 🥹
📍Museo Nacional de Antropología
In a different life I did cultural anthropology instead of (in addition to?) medicine
