Agreed. But still glad to see this shuts down his misinformation while rising above.

Saw that letter. Pretty gross misinformation.

This has overall been a disappointing, misleading attack by some in the community, trying to shame a person's living situation by pretending they didn't have a life with it's own circumstances prior to the only 2 or so years they've been a councillor.

There is a letter circulating in Ward 4 and I'd like to set the record straight. The claims in this letter about me are misleading: I pay market rent for my home. We're all on the same team for more affordable housing.

Great community meeting tonight for residents of the Inchbury/Kinnell neighbourhood. We recently expressed some concerns to the Councillor's office, and @ward1wilson.bsky.social & her team swiftly & sensitively brought together a meeting with city staff in attendance. Thankful.

The "interim" report for the collapse of Gore buildings was released this week with a focus on policy tweaks and an absence of consequences. Very underwhelming.

Here's what it details, and what it should add.

Overall, our downtown/city lacks a sense of urgency & standard of quality.

Thank you! And just accessed your summary.

Hey @joeycoleman.ca! Have you heard anything more on this? I saw councillor Nann referring to it in a recent social media post as still coming.

I also don't think safe injection sites at libraries are a good idea & I also love tailgating.

But the wild swing between public takes that w5 cllr Matt Francis has on the legal use of addictive substances classified as drugs on municipal property is... just a little ironic?

With the fed election now distantly in the rearview.

The results of the ridings in #HamOnt, have big implications for council elections in 2026. With it assumed that the East Hamilton - Stoney Creek riding results has theoretically BIG implications for mayoral races.

Thoughts?

I would say that's part of the broad spectrum of broken things.

You can easily name a handful of other buildings that are clearly on their way out (many that have had unenforced orders to comply). Let alone the corner of King St & East Ave, where there's been no facade for multiple years now.

Something is clearly broken at the City.

It's been over 5 months since the - not isolated - Gore Park collapse. The Mayor asked for a report on at risk buildings for January, if not Q1.

That report, as well as consequences for any/all responsible parties, remain nowhere in sight.

Any update @mayorandreahorwath.bsky.social ?

Hey @joeycoleman.ca, figure if anyone knows, you do.

Has there been any update on the Mayor's vacant building report that was supposed to come back this month after being delayed from January? I may have missed, but have not seen/heard anything.

Burning question for the #HamOnt community that I've been wondering about for some time...

Is ANYTHING happening at the old Gallaghers? What's going on there?

This is everything you need to know about Poilievre.
He is their guy on the inside.
I will never ever vote on anything brought forward by this man.
He is fundamentally unfit for public office.

Loved those, being a mangia-cake it was always such an interesting exploration to wander around them.

Yeah! I'm 41, the pavilion was a pretty essential part of childhood life in that neighborhood (let alone all the other cultural events that were held there - Earthsong, Portuguese fests, Pride, Labour Day)

Hamilton, December 1988 - Strathcona North, Inchbury & Dundurn Park YouTube video by Ryan Moran

Ever wonder what Strathcona North looked like in 1988? My Dad filmed the area that Christmas, & we just digitized the old Beta tape. Highlights:

Dundurn Park manicured
Car access in the park
Bayfront Park as a landfill
Inchbury almost unchanged.

Land doesn’t vote. Stop pretending it does.

After nearly 2 decades of starving our City’s core assets, Hamilton’s Mayor & Council are investing. A new 500 mm underground watermain and a rebuilt road that will work better for more people. Disruptive? Yes. Critical? Absolutely. Building back better.

Credit where credit is due. Great job to the @cityofhamiltonon.bsky.social on the York Boulevard work. Efficiently done, and a great starting point for a better usage of what SHOULD be #HamOnt's grand welcome way.

And, of course, big thanks to @ward1wilson.bsky.social!

Both. Totally both.

There was an planning application and building permit approved for the site. I recall liking the plan, but it is a difficult project due to the narrow lot size.

I do not know the present state. (Says something that I walk by constantly and never gave it a thought)
