A huge portion of my grief over the new administration is the fact that so, so many people seemed to want it. I simply don't understand how anyone could choose this convicted felon, this convicted fraud, this seditionist who will surely be hellbound -- how anyone could prefer him over anyone else.

The greatest barrier to Trump's fascist agenda is Trump's massive incompetence. Here's hoping he doesn't die in the next four years. A Vance presidency would be far, far worse.

The irony of the felon's inauguration taking place on Martin Luther King Jr Day is certainly not lost on me.

The latest Socal fire is being called the Auto Fire — about a mile from our house. We can see it from our driveway. We’re packed just in case we need to evacuate, but for the moment we’re safe.
