He also looked like the Hat Man. Like from Benadryl.
He would appear in a bunch of different places and do this every time. Eventually it got to the point where whenever he appeared in an area, everyone would recognize him as the SEX guy, stop what they're doing, and stare in paralyzed horror until he did it again, bringing new disaster.
Had a dream once about an entity who randomly appeared in public areas. He'd stand there quietly for a bit, and then in a low, booming, monotone voice, say "SEX". It would echo through the whole area, shaking buildings and causing an immediate eruption of chaos and panic. People screamed and cried.
For the record, I never really set a defined species for Dirge. They're supposed to be a ghost of ambiguous species rather than anything specific. But I went with a more deer-like appearance for this form because it felt right and that's always what I circle back to. And deer are cute.
No mouth because their main design lacks a lower jaw. Huge nervous pupils because Dirge is supposed to usually look a little anxious. I also liked the idea that they're slightly *less* expressive in this form even though you'd think it'd be more emotive. Livingthing-suit. Cosplaying aliveness
It was late one night and I thought "what if I gave Dirge skin"
So I did, as a design experiment/for fun. I do like the idea that they can temporarily make themselves not look like a skeletal ghost, but even in this other less ghostly form, something just looks a teensy bit off.

YEAAAAH GO PATRICK
I've been having fun with Wobbledogs and Critter Cove. Both nice cozy games to relax with. I'm still working on Braid, which I know is an indie classic that I'm getting to super late. I look forward to Control because I trust that friend's recommendations (they know my taste well).
Holy shit, every game I've wishlisted or have had my eye on lately is getting sales. A few weeks ago, Wobbledogs. Last weekend, Critter Cove. The other day, Braid. Today, Control (which was very recently recommended to me by a friend). Steam sales are spoiling me rn. So many games for dirt cheap.
[LOUD WARNING] Bsky rn is just: www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnaR...
I still vividly remember when you told me about this over lunch and the shock of finding out those posters I saw for years and thought absolutely nothing of were a cult thing all along
I feel like I'm watching this website have a nervous screaming sobbing breakdown in front of me while it repeatedly jams a rusty old kitchen knife into its stomach and every time I gently try to ask what's wrong it just screams louder and stabs itself even more rapidly
I can't even save drafts right now, and when I checked this place this morning, I had 30+ unread notifications that were just notifications I already saw that got marked back to unread somehow. (To be clear I'm glad they weren't new notifs because notif blow-ups drive my anxiety crazy)
I should start googling random things that don't apply to me at all just to fuck up the ads. Parenting advice for my rambunctious teen when I'm not a parent and have no plans to be. Specific repairs for my motorbike I don't own. Advice for my sick cattle when I live in an apartment
I hate targeted ads because they are a glaring reminder of the lack of privacy these days, but sometimes it's funny when they're wrong in a way that still makes sense. I sold my old car recently, had to do some research in the process, and now I'm getting ads for books on how to become a car dealer.

Letterboxd review of "Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate" (2024) The review says: this one hour and twenty-three minute sensory experience features several new characters who move around and say things, some of the characters you know and love after a botched lobotomy, and dialogue so disjointed that it feels like it was written by an alien that you explained the most basic concept of a movie to ten seconds ago before they got to work, and also during the explanation your mouth was full of rocks so they didn't quite catch everything you said. my memory of this experience fills me with an irrational anger, the full extent of which others tend to find rather disturbing, and probably rightfully so. when i described my experience watching this to a friend recently, he sounded worried, pointing out that it seemed like i was in genuine distress, almost as though i had just watched a loved one get shot in front of me. he was probably also wondering if i needed to go back to therapy, but felt that it would be rude to ask. i am 29 years old.
I finally got a Letterboxd, am I doing this right
What we can be certain of, is that someone has tried.

I mean if enough people call their theaters it could be a mini Iron Lung situation. They're already talking about expanding more.
THEY'RE HOME AGAIN
I was in disbelief even *as I was buying the tickets on an official Cinemark site* lmao. It's so surreal!! I kinda hope more things like this happen.
I hope you and your bf have fun!!
Nice nice! Good you live close too! I gotta make a whole day trip out of it haha, but it'll be worth it.
And I KNOW what you mean, I hope that not too many people decide to be jerks about it and spoil stuff... but you know a few people will. OTL
Hope you have fun!!
SAME?? I went "believe it when tickets are on sale". And then I looked at Cinemark today and they had JUST started selling them. I bought mine while people were fighting about whether it was real or fake lol
It's cool though!! Indie animation has appeared in theaters before but it's still crazy
Also the closest showing is an hour and a half away. And I'm driving it. I'm willing. I don't care
I'm glad I got mine before the YouTube trailer dropped. I beat the crowd and got a nice seat. :)
TADC IN THEATERS WASN'T JUST A RUMOR!!
I thought it was, but then I saw Cinemark make tickets available this morning and I immediately jumped in and snagged mine within the hour. Saturday June 6 let's fucking GOOOOO
Doorman stickers! these will be up in my shop!
