It really depends on what you need. RPG Maker has tons of ready to use tools for making an RPG, but Godot gives you a much larger degree of freedom while requiring more legwork from you to achieve those results.

I have a personal rule: if I see a post with genAI, I will immediately block the person posting it. I dont care if the content aligns with my personal beliefs, is politically topical, or just a meme. We do not use the tools of fascists to produce anything; no exceptions.
That was definitely something I loved about Unreal Engine, there was definitely some implementation of what you need already built in for so many usecases. Unfortunately the documentation on most of it left a lot to be desired 💀
There was an entire subreddit that had to be banned cuz those kinds of people. It was also because of this game that I learned "Cute and Funny" has been co-opted into pdf dogwhistles and its just all so very gross.
Ready for her job at the Bakery.
If anything this has convinced me to watch an action film I wrote off as being generic cuz this sounds cool as hell!
Kind of. Theres an indie game called PANLINE that is basically Mirror's Edge with a more Frutiger Aero vibe.
Field Comic Panel 1 A determined Field has slammed their hands on the desk and is determined to do the things that need to be done. Field: OKAY! I just have one small task to do. Panel 2 A stressed Field is staring blankly at a blank screen. Narration Box: -Stares at nothing for two hours instead-
One small task
If its a launch day model, it doesnt even need it!
I share the same sentiment as you about Fortnite. The layoffs left such an immensely sour taste that I cannot spend any more time or money on it. Only game I still call home is Mabinogi. 18 years on it and still comforting as ever to me.
Looks awesome! Id love to see a wireframe view

My feed has had such an incredible amount of pinball-related posts lately, and I am all for it. Really giving me the good stuff directly related to my current project.
This is legit the first time ive seen one not actively running a game of some sort. I had no idea they were little android devices. Wonder how they run some windows games like ive seen.
Magnificent!
Click Clock Woods OST is a nice touch for the vid. Perfectly captures the vibe.
Never knew of this one til I saw this post but oh my god, it sounds like such a good Romhack. My favorite Pokemon title with modern improvements is all I could ever dream of.
My first game on Steam. As a solo dev this feels unreal. Trailer’s here; if Pegfinity looks fun, a wishlist helps more than you’d think. Thank you♥️#indiedev #indiegame #incrementalgame #GodotEngine
Im working on a pinball game prototype too and ngl, Im having a rough go of getting the actual physics to cooperate. How did you work it out? I tried having a rigidbody3D paddle and ball and all that happens is the ball just gets shoved to the side, lol.
Agreed. They do an extremely good job of making subtle changes to keep things fresh and surprising, giving a more emotional punch to certain moments and character arcs.
Damn, if I knew you had these there, I would have asked my buddy to buy me one while he was there today.
I remember this game fondly. The ability to get the special powerup balls lead to some crazy shots. The one with extra bounce + hitting a kart path meant getting on the green in one in certain Par 5s. I also vaguely remember the weird age up system for the characters for their careers.
Thief! 🫵
With how much of a Renaissance we are experiencing with PS1/N64 inspired graphics from indies, Id imagine there is definitely an audience for this particular tool.
With almost the entire machine being adorned in gen 1 pokemon, its very strange seeing Furfrou, a gen 6 pokemon, way at the very back. In fact, is it the only pokemon on the machine that isnt gen1?
I believe the pic is of an AYN Thor. Seems like a nifty handheld gaming device with a heavy emphasis on emulation but also totally usable for some PC games too.
Image of Jacob Wysocki screaming with poorly edited text that says "you are AN ARTIST WITH FREE WILL."
YOU ARE AN ARTIST WITH FREE WILL. YOU CAN DRAW YOUR FAVORITE THINGS. YOU ARE AN ARTIST WITH FREE WILL. YOU CAN DRAW BAD AND ITS OK. YOU ARE AN ARTIST WITH FREE WILL. YOU CAN TRY DIFFERENT MEDIUMS. YOU ARE AN ARTIST WITH FREE WILL. YOU CAN DRAW YOUR FAVES FUCKING NASTY. YOU ARE AN ARTIST WITH FREE WI
They have a markedly 90s aesthetic to them, while the cube-like ones are a design that still is heavily rooted in the 80s. Sleek, molded plastic vs compression boards.
