I love starting my year with science colleagues and friends at #SICB, but most importantly my students get to to expand their experiences. My personal highlight was to give a talk in the ‘Moving Beyond Binaries’ symposium, to a jam-packed audience!
It really does enrich our lives! This has been so much fun!

Celebrations are important. Here is my lab and collaborator celebrating Honors Thesis defense of undergrad Beverlly Victoria, welcoming new grad student Abbie Symanietz and postdoc Dr. Alyse Maksimoski and submission of a new grant proposal.
I am not sure exactly what you mean here. I am a tenured professor in Idaho and my research spans all these areas and I have a federal grant to pursue my research. I prefer to not make any political comments here.
