Yep. Also had a Bittern in the garden. It’s a really good app but I guess could never be perfect.

Merlin has just picked up a Golden Plover in my garden. Wonder what it really is.
It’s an absolute fact that anyone who says “I’m entitled to my opinion“ really shouldn’t be entitled to their ridiculous uneducated and probably bigoted opinion.
A willow in the sun by the canal.
Milton Keynes today remarkably.
You say acrid. I say YUM…COFFEE😋
So glad to hear you’re not one of the complainants 🤣
@rfcider.bsky.social I’ve been away for a week so not sure if you’ve commented on this but looks exciting. Read more: www.northantstelegraph.co.uk/news/environ...
I went to a comprehensive. I think I say mown but I might just be mispronouncing mowed. It’s complicated.
Two lawns mown or is it mowed?
The Wainwright range is unconscionably popular.
10 pubs, 10 halves in Lichfield today. Only dud was Brewhouse & Kitchen unsurprisingly. Big shock was a delicious Banks’s Amber in King’s Head.
Oh to be needed.
I turned 59 yesterday so naturally thoughts turn to retirement. My current job is the best I’ve ever had but relies on others doing theirs well which doesn’t happen often enough so I get angrier and grumpier. Doesn’t help that I’m friends with loads of retirees and I’m jealous. Need younger friends.

Feeling grumpy this morning and really not sure why. Hopefully coffee will help and then I can maybe negotiate an early finish and go on a wee walk. Be less of a miserable old sod.
Jasprit Bumrah is a hell of a bowler.
My two daughters and my wife on my daughter’s 21st. Mae in the middle with her free Guinness.
It’s my eldest daughter’s 21st so we went for a drink (or two in my case) at The Malt Shovel. Her Guinness was on the house which was a lovely touch.
Doing each Northants village alphabetically? 😀
The New Inn is very nice.
Wow. Excellent work Sri Lanka.
Come on Sri Lanka. #thecricket
You missed the Yardley Hastings post. Hope you didn’t have to battle the regulars to get to the bar.
For a number of reasons I’ve not been to the pub this month until now. Enjoying a couple of brown bitters with the cricket in The Vaults Stony Stratford.
Don’t think England will lose but appears they are playing Nepalling.
Those prices for two thirds are very out of kilter.
I know. Proud of my willpower.
Cakes & Ale by W Somerset Maugham and Peter Camenzind by Herman Hesse.
A couple of quid well spent at Heyford Books.
Geddington’s Eleanor Cross by Moonlight.
I imagine it’s really buzzing on the day. Might give it a go one year.
