Whatever its adversaries say, Europe is an innovation powerhouse.
For example, the continent has produced some of the best video games of all time, something we should be proud of.
It is up to us to tell Europe’s story.

To mark International Fact-Checking Day, a reminder that the world’s largest database of pro-Kremlin disinformation is publicly available.
Since 2015, EUvsDisinfo has documented nearly 20,000 cases exposing the Kremlin’s lies and information manipulation.

Today marks the anniversary of the Bucha massacre. In Apr 2022—after Ukraine liberated the town—the world saw civilians executed in the streets, mass graves & torture sites in basements. Russia used its propaganda machine to claim it was staged.
But evidence proved otherwise.
Russian state-funded Sputnik World is falsely claiming that freedom of expression in the West is a myth.
This is pretty rich coming from a country that ranks 171st out of 180 in the World Press Freedom Index. The top 15 spots are held by European countries, by the way.
Pro-Kremlin outlets are now claiming that Zelenskyy secretly controls 1% of AstraZeneca through a hidden holding company.
None of this is true: In reality, the “investigation” came from a fake shell website created just weeks earlier, then amplified by Russian Telegram channels.
While Moscow loudly supports separatist movements abroad, even mild calls for independence inside Russia can lead to prison. The Kremlin’s “self-determination” has clear limits.
Just ask yourself: how has the Kremlin reacted to secessionist aspirations in Tatarstan or Dagestan?
For too long, Europe’s story has been twisted and distorted by those who seek to weaken it.
It’s time for Europeans to tell their own story again, about freedom, democracy, culture, and cooperation across a diverse continent.
How many European countries can you spot in this video?

Ukraine has come through its harshest wartime winter with its energy system bombarded by Russian strikes targeting civilian heat & power. At the same time, FIMI and disinformation campaigns falsely framed the blackouts as proof of Ukrainian weakness and fading European support.
Many call disinformation the biggest threat to democracies, yet influence ops go beyond false claims. Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI) means efforts to manipulate info, distort debate, influence elections, and erode trust in democratic institutions.

A new Steam game, Ukrainian Warfare: Gostomel Heroes (using the Russian spelling), lets players rewrite the 2022 battle for Kyiv while presenting events in a way that favors Kremlin narratives.
It also highlights a growing trend, Russia using video games to spread propaganda.

In Russia, International Women’s Day means flowers and compliments.
But also:
– pressure against abortions
– rewards for teen pregnancies
– domestic violence partially decriminalised
– feminism framed as extremism.

It seems Russian forces in Ukraine were heavily dependent on American technology.
Unauthorized Starlink terminals were used for battlefield communication, drones, and logistics. When the connections were cut, coordination faltered and Ukraine quickly exploited it.
euvsdisinfo.eu/starlink-shu...
Russian state-funded Sputnik claims that "Shutdown of Starlink Terminals Has No Effect on Russian Troops".
Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces liberated more territory than they lost in the last two weeks of February 2026, the first time since summer of 2023.
Just a coincidence?
Russia’s information operations operate as a layered system:
1. Officials introduce core narratives.
2. State media amplify them.
3. Seemingly independent outlets advance Kremlin interests.
4. Hidden networks & social accounts echo & boost the same stories, forming coordinated influence operations.

Life under Russian occupation is not only a military reality – it is an information siege. How does this system of digital control actually work – and what does it do to people forced to live inside it?
Russian state funded Sputnik International falsely claims the Ukrainian military has lost 1.5 million soldiers since 2022 and 520,000 in 2025 alone.
And what do they back this up with? Absolutely nothing.
A widely quoted 2026 CSIS report put the figure at 600,000 casualties.
Once again, RT is claiming that Ukrainians are resorting to “witchcraft” and “black magic” to win the war.
No, it is not an op-ed. It is an actual “news” article on a state-controlled international channel. And it is 100% BS.
